I'm not entirely sure how it would work, but I'm all for Sherlock Holmes. I'm pretty sure somebody's done one based on a book. Lovecraft , too, and that's only a little more recently written.
Don't say that too loud, I'd love to be in on some Lovecraft arg dev. Can't let anyone take the idea before I get to the dev stage
Oh wait, the mythos is huge. I'll just pick a different room in Miskatonic U.

If you are into Lovecraft, go read Eldritch Errors (currently in the Archives but expected to be revived soon). We still have folks hanging out in the #irc room (#stfeline) and checking up on Sentry Outpost forum.
I totally agree that Tr2n is just made for an online ARG.

No surprise but I'd love one based on Neil Gaiman's Sandman or American Gods

After seeing the teaser bootleg from ComiCon, my vote goes to Tr2n (Tron 2). I would love to interact with a few programs. In this day and age, I could spend some time playing a Flash based LightCycles with one of the characters. Clues, access to unlock, a story before the story...
Oh, the possibilities...
Based on that suggestion...
REZ. Nothing says "Awesome" more than an ARG about a guy trying to hack the internets. And, not just one internet, either. ALL OF THEM.

Family Guy: Stewie's World Domination?
First thing that came to mind. Shortly after, Harry Potter swarmed my head, so an HP ARG related with the new movies could be nice.

Ever since I heard that Dreamworks picked up the remake rights, I've been thinking a Ghost in the Shell ARG would work quite well. Internet, technology, conspiracies, hackers and a dystopian near-future - sort of a more military action version of The Beast.

I think you just ruined my day. That can't end well.

*gives Nighthawk a lollipop* Yeah....it most likely will end up to obtuse, obvious references to fishermen sitting on the moooooon.

I'd like to do one involving "The Knights Who 'Til Recently Said Ni" and their hunt for a herring.
Sign-up for the game would require the player to produce and surrender one shrubbery.

Bestest idea evar! We should contact John Cleese about it.

John Cleese wasn't even in that scene. It was Michael Palin talking to Graham Chapman (who, by the way, is dead).

Oddly enough I actually have an idea for an ARG rolling around in my head that's "inspired by" Sandman. I just have to figure some logistics out like, how the internet plays into the storyline.

Unfortunately, I don't know of like.....ANY of the Pythons except Cleese.
