Sending Postcards From A Planecrash is the title of a song on Fall Out Boy's first album, Take This To Your Grave. Not sure if it's relevant, but just getting it out there.
Also, I tried searching for something that happens everytime a person is struck by lightning, but no luck. Anyone find anything about that?

What happens when one gets struck by lightning? Well, the obvious answer is 'you get shocked'. I would be surprised if it was that simple, though. Perhaps 'static'? Or, 'you get hurt'? Well, I suppose some people haven't gotten hurt by a lightning strike(lucky them). Hmm...I'll be looking for answers.

EDIT: Wow, this lightning research is less than encouraging...

"It is concluded that there exists no safe time interval during which a human is free from direct strikes,"

So apparently if you hear even the FAINTEST thunder, you should take immediate lightning safety measures (a Google search would tell you what those measures are.)

EDIT2: This is a good site for lightning strikes, and kind of funny too. http://science.nasa.gov/newhome/headlines/essd18jun99_1.htm Perhaps the list at the end of " Most Typical Disorders Associated with Lightning Strikes" might have some answers?
