[QUESTION] Intercontinental Hotel?

There has been a lot of speculation over the Intercontinental Hotel on 5th and Lake. With the supposed meet-n-greet happening soon, I think we need to resolve the issue. There are really three possible outcomes:

1) The Intercontinental Hotel exists in the fictitious city of Redland (i.e. it doesn't exist)
2) The "Chicago" rumors are true, and that is where it exists.
3) It exists in "Not Chicago" (i.e. somewhere else in the world).

So here is what we know about the hotel in Chicago. There is no 5th street and it's several blocks away from Lake Shore Drive:

If anyone can confirm the Chicago rumors or knows of an Intercontinental Hotel matching those cross-streets, please post! The Google searches I have done ended up inconclusive.
