There is a new problem.

It is time of my Botschaft soon.

Not sure if it has been changed, or if it was just your translator. I used Reverso.

Edit: The text at the end of the video, and under the blog title, translates to
Quote:
I told Kuromori in this way
using Reverso.

I believe that this Lisa is Lisa Anne Carlini on Facebook. Maybe. I'm not sure.

You are wrong because Lisa Anne Carlini is ME! Sorry to burst your bubble Smile

Seriously strange phone calls

OK. I sucked it up and bought a few dollars international credit on Skype and called the Hong Kong number.

Call One, no answer.

Call Two, grunting. As if someone was tied up in the other end of the phone? They were grunt's in response to my questions though, not random (seemingly)

Call Three: Chinese girl answers, mumbles, and hangs up on me.

Call Four: Chinese girls listens to my vain efforts to get someone who speaks english for a while, giggles, and mocks my efforts, saying to someone else in the room "hello? hello?" then giggles again.

Strange shit. In all four calls they waited silently for me to initiate before they began speaking, never answering by saying "Hello" or anything in Chinese.

I wanted to record the calls for you all to hear, but I can't find a good free recorder for Skype. Any suggestions?

Has anyone else called, and if so, what was the response?

Well I have had a third member of the 4 contest winners/scholarship recipients add me on Facebook now. Unfortunately I'm stuck at work for 4 more hours with no access. Anyone else have Sofia confirm them yet? If not I'll update with my interaction with her tonight.

Did you say anything about Eklipse Global? Maybe there's some recognized phrase that will prompt little miss gigglepuss to give some information or transfer you to someone who speaks English.

Or you could always try (bad) Mandarin.. Laughing
Do you speak english? = nee hoi shyo ingwhen ma?
I am looking for = (oo)wah ja'ao Eklipse Global
I'm sorry = doibuhtchi
goodbye = zaijyen

I too have Sofia on my facebook. no interaction, though, but I did send her an e-mail. And I can bet that sometime tomorrow Paul will accept his friend requests as well.

EDIT: I just got an email from Lisa, with a picture. I'll try and upload it.
Email came saying "Find the last one before they do."

From what I can tell, this is what the cover says:
Wonderful Facts from El Libro de los Lamentos.

A Translation from the book found in Santa Anna's [.....] in San Jacinto
(print scrawled across the page)

[...] when you come back burn this book and all the copies that you find.
Get out before the (hurricane?) comes.

Historic (or Esoteric) Society of Galveston.
EDIT2: Thanks lisa for the rest of the stuff the cover says.

I got that one, but mine said "Help us find it before they do." And I also got another one saying nothing but the subject was "What knowledge do you wish to know?"

Hmm we have mention of Galveston again.

On a Meta front, Con08 started as a local are in Texas, and included some dead drops there. I wonder if we will need to pick up some stuff in Texas again.

ETA I got a mail from LISA LISA again as well. Mine was different than the ones you guys got though.

Subject was "What do you wish to know?"

And the body was blank. Tried selecting it to see if anything was there, just 2 blank lines.

Anyone have any suggestions on what we wish to know?

The importance of Galveston, for one, and where to find this book.
