I also tried calling Natural Eye Gallery but they're closed... and their website isn't great however from a bit of googling they apear to be a picture gallery so might not do sculptures at all.
goodall seems best choice however they only open again on wednsday...

Ok I'll ive them anther call during more sociable hours tomorrow... also there's this place my friend pointed me to (there's a few of us in london trying to crack this... working over cells) http://www.chinese-arts-centre.org/
not sure if that works location wise... but it does seem a little obvious lol... thought it was worth a mention.
Not sure I there is much more we can do today... places don't seem to include the notion that a group of international gamers may need o contact them at random hours while working out when to be open... rather in-considerate tbh. lol

there are two locations that are on my map you might try. Neither has one point of contact though. One is Afflecks, and the other is the Arndale mall.

Ok guys I went to every art gallery I could find on my walk and found nothing like a ring by unknown artist. I even went into a couple shops like Magma just in-case.

A lot of places were shut to be fair so I might pop up again tomorrow.

So I've been to these places.

Chinese Arts Centre
Market Buildings
Thomas Street
Manchester
M4 1EU

And a couple of places outside of the list.

So having walked around a bit, I would say the Richard Goodall Gallery could be a possible, as it has some very strange and quirky things in the window. The Nexis Art cafe is another one it might be and its closer to the centre of your circle thingy. But I'm dead sure its going to be a place called Afflecks which seems to dead centre of your circles and according to my friend a very trend set of shops and galleries where you can pick up all types of weird and wonderful things. Like St Nicolas Market of Bristol and Camden of London, if that helps.

I won't post any pictures but see what happens tomorrow.

Perhaps someone could doublecheck if Manchester is the right city at all?

I did just after you. Amsterdam and Manchester were shown by Omphalos Calculator. So it should be OK if the figures are OK.

It's right.

I'd actually suggested Afflecks above. And the Arndale Mall, since both are within the labyrinth that comes from the directions we received. Maybe we shouldn't suggest Galleries that are outside that area. At least not until the ones within that area have been explored fully.

If you didn't see anything, there's probably nothing. It should be an art gallery. Some malls have them, and some don't. From the online information, it seems like there's probably not.

I think, like you said, Afflecks is probably the best bet.

You know the secret pass code, right? Thermantia.

I have e-mailed Eli with our research so far.
I'll let you know if he responds.
Eli,
I don't know if anyone has e-mailed you asking for advice on locating the third ring.
The latest message was in Hindi, and we have translated it as:

This is agent Amitabh.
#3 was earlier at Omphalos #10 about 26 ?? stadia from there in the direction of hermes 23.
From there the ring is 26-69 stadia in the direction of apollo 15.
He has hidden the ring in an art studio/picture gallery.
The ring should be in a labyrinth (on a picture) that has 3 circuits on the right side.
1.86 stadia high labyrinth, at the entrance, night and day.
Postion the cross of the labyrinth in the direction of apollo 20.
When you go around the labyrinth, you'll need to tell a password to the gatekeeper.

Then in English:
Tell the ringkeeper the name of the second consort of the second grandson of the husband of the mother of our team's ancient founder.

We know the password is Thermantia.
Omphalos # 10 is in Stuttgart, Germany.
26?? Stadia Hermes 23 from Stuttgart gives you Amsterdam.
2669 stadia Apollo 15 from Amsterdam gives you Manchester, UK.

I have attached a map of Manchester, created by AUZ505, with a 3-circuit right-handed labyrinth, with Night & Day café at the entrance, 1.86 stadia (344 m) tall, and in the direction of apollo 20 (290 degrees).

We don't know if we are supposed to be searching the peak or the center, but most of the art galleries in the area are on the northern arc of the labyrinth (near the green pins). The peak of the labyrinth is near the Arndale Mall. We have also tried overlaying labyrinths with the entrance at the Manchester Evening News headquarters, and the Evening News Arena, although the sheer number of art galleries near Night & Day café makes us feel that it is the correct entrance to the labyrinth.

Any input, especially your knowledge of English geography, would be appreciated.
Thanks, sapagoo

Sounds like we are close

Hello Sapagoo,
Excellent work on tracking ring #3 to Manchester, I feel certain that you and your friends have the right city. Your identificaton of the Night & Day cafe is also convincing, based on the the transcript you have provided. I must admit, however, that I do not understand hindi myself, and so I cannot say for certain that we are working with a perfect translation -- that the cafe is the start of the labyrinth, or that we are looking for the center, or the peak, or some other specific place (for example, perhap as you have noted here with your pushpin, the northernmost point of the labyrinth itself.)

They are clearly working in languages unfamiliar to the 2008 allies to thwart us. However, this map looks persuasive to me and it is certainly worth investigating the locations you have identified on it.
Any gallery that is in a unique spot of the labyrinth seems a promising site to investigate.

Sincerely yours,

Eli Hunt
