I got the e-mail too, but I'm not convinced yet. Can someone provide me with some evidence? Razz

This goes with the game DELETED here:

You know, this is the second time, that I have seen in the past week I believe, that you have decided to use really big bold font to tell people they are doing something wrong. You might try a nicer approach. We are all friends here, and many of us are not as smart as you think you are Smile

Jeez people. Ok, it goes with Deleted. It's not that we didn't believe you, we just wanted to know why you thought that. Many of us hadn't been involved with the game at all, so we didn't know.

Now we do know.

Although now that I've seen the "culture" surrounding this game, I don't think I'll be playing it.

If people are so nice and fuzzy here, why don't they believe someone instead of questioning him off the bat? Ask for an explanation if you must, but it would piss me off if people demanded one in a tone that suggested i was wrong.

And I think degravedi handled it well, but that's just my opinion. Sometimes there isn't a nicer approach, and since when is "big bold font" mean? It was meant to be attention grabbing, period.

OK, fair cop. What'd you use to decode it? I downloaded two programs and no joy on either one.

For future reference, it's best to explain *why* the determination was made. You know, for the cheap seats... like me. Smile

Granted, and that makes a lot of sense. If I ever do post something like this, I will remember your sage advice Nighthawk Very Happy

I'm not trying to be mean or condescending. And yes I do apologize in the capacity that I should have explained that "Tyler Mills", "Won't you help me please", and barcodes were definitely part of Delted, but there is a tendency of many people on these (and almost all) forums to not read what others have posted before them before replying. The large bold font is merely something that can't be easily ignored.

That said, as we are all friends here, I would appreciate it that if you have a problem in the future that you would PM me before badmouthing me in front of everyone else on the forums.

I love that he still shows his face from time to time. If nothing else, I made at least one small contribution.

As for this thread, I suppose we can consider the matter settled amicably.

Indeed, brownies for everyone.

Yeah most of the stuff I found were SDK's or mobile apps and such. But I came across a downloadable demo at Intelcom.ru that does linear barcode decoding. It worked just dandy (but requires greyscale bitmaps, a minor adjustment to the image if necessary)
