7/11 New phone call (from the joker?) Just received a phone call from 000-000-0000. I was so caught off guard, I didn't have time to take notes... but I think it might have been some of the sound bytes from the game. There was a bit about things going crazy in Gotham (near the bank?) and another bit with someone crying for help. Right before the call ended, the joker started laughing.
Is it not quite over? Or was that a goodbye message?

I just got it too, man it was trippy! It plays at the end of the newest Gothan Tonight too.
Edit: The news broadcast portion I mean.

i fell out of actively playing this awhile back, though i've been checking back here now and again, and i got that call while i was on my way home from work.
man, there was alot going on in that call. i wish now i had let it go to voicemail, but ugh, when i saw the number calling 0000000 i had to pick it up.
the only thing i caught was something about the gotham bank, people screaming, and the word news, along with some creepy sounds and laughter.
hope someone can record theirs or transcribe/decipher it.
((you work with Alzheimer's patients all day and then get this call? i thought someone at work had gotten to a phone! (o_O) ))

I thought it was a mash-up of some of the audio bits we've already got. I know I heard parts of the original WSS call, and parts of the IA bust at Betty's. The police activity at GNB was new to me though, maybe a reference to the first part of the movie (the 6 minutes shown before "I Am Legend" in IMAX).

When I got it The first things it said was "This is a update of the GBP. The Gothem National Bank was being robbed by some guys in Clown Masks."
Then it switched over to another place that was or had been robbed by guys in clown masks.
After a minute a man came up loud and said "Help us, We need your help."
Not sure where that was but finally it went back to the bank and I heard "There is someone comming out." And then it switched over to the joker laughing.
I hope there is more to this game. Maybe something will happen at the sneak preview of the movie on Wednesday.
Update: If you go to http://www.gothamcablenews.com/ and watch the video and it will show what the phone call was about.

Hehehe, sure was. They've had a lot of the major on stars too. Especially the last one with Harvey Dent. I mean the others made short cameos but he was there the whole time, that's so cool!

Just got the call, too. Looks like they're making their rounds seeing as this is about the same time I got the Dent campaign calls. I imagine they're using some kinda router, too, because normally if I didn't answer they'd call back up to three times.

oh, drat!
thanks for pointing to the gotham cable site for a tidbit regarding the information from the call. i must have looked funny, scrambling to turn down the music, jam the phone in my ear, and juggle my coke at the same time.

You must be right, because they *did* call me back just a little while ago Sounded to me like a clip montage of all the audio we've had during the game, starting with that very first message heard after calling the skywritten numbers over the skies of Comic-Con last year....
::: sniff ::: ah, the memories...
