[Chat] Edwin Moses - 24 July (GMT+12)
Even weirder than chatting with one of the Amnesiacs!

Hello Edwin!

400:
Oh! Hello!

me:
It's [mr.judkins] here from the Wellington Labyrinth Running Team.

400:
Yes! Of course
This is my first message from a labyrinth runner
How exciting

me:
Smile
Good to chat with you!
How are the teams coming together elsewhere?
Have you had lots of contact from the other countries?

400:
Some, yes
Mostly the teams in
San Francisco
Wellington (of course!)
Tokyo
London
Bristol
Capetown

me:
Oh wow! I haven't heard much about the Capetown team.

400:
They are concerned about the timing of the race
Which is midnight in Capetown

me:
Ouch.

400:
Yes Ouch
Did you know
I am going to Beijing with Ariadne and her teammates
So I can be there in person to coach them

me:
Wow!
Fantastic!

400:
I will be making personal coaching videos for the other teams too I hope
So I can help you as well in the final week before the race

me:
That would be great, Edwin. Smile
We're certainly really happy with our progress so far, but know we can tighten it up even further.

400:
Do you know the team in Syracuse, New York?

me:
Not personally.

400:
Like Team Bristol they appear to be making a last minute push to edge out the "front runner"
But I have not yet seen any training videos so I cannot attest to whether they have a chance against San Francisco

me:
I've got to know the San Francisco team quite well - we had a lot of friendly rivalry going on early in the process.
Beating each others' records and whatnot.
But I know they've had trouble getting the numbers along to their training sessions.

400:
Yes indeed
It's one of the things that makes the Olympics great
You have a rivalry to improve your performance
It helps focus you

me:
Absolutely. And gives you a target to aim for.

400:
I do understand about training
Not everyone has the drive to excel in a sport
Especially I guess a lost one

me:
Ha! Indeed.

400:
Well [mr.judkins]
It has been great to chat
Have a good night
or day I guess!

me:
Thanks Edwin. Late afternoon. Smile

Well, I can't wait to see what kind of advice he gives each team. If he has specifics on your technique, that will be quite interesting.
