Pita made a new thread for the Ring Reunification Party.

Before the Party I want to proceed more here ....

"the sum of sport" might be "Olympiad", and "one fourth", since it's held every fourth year.
That would mean that the number of the worlds must fall to one-fourth below the highest limit.

Or we should express the Olympiad in months or days ... using Anrikythera-mechanism-like calculations.
[META]I've wondered why Ariadne and Eli introduced the Antikythera-mechanism so enthusiastically. It's very interesting indeed, and I should consider the research was done at Cardiff, but I thought it's special they suggested us making a podcast.[/META]

I moved the following from the Party thread.

------

I'd like to summarize the current situation. Any corrections are welcome.

The Esperanto text (extracted from the five rings and assembled):
Code:
KVIN, KAJ UNA ATLETOJ PLENUMADI, DEK UNU PER DESEGNAĴO; LA PLEJ GRAVA LUDO KVARDEK. VETKURADOJ FOR DE LA MALFERMANTAJ
VOJAĜI. LA MONDO DEVAS LINIIOXI PRESKAU PERFEKTE. KALKULU LA CELON. ĜI ESTAS. LA SUMO DE SPORTO SUB LA PLEJALTA LIMO
REVENU AL VIA HEJMO DUM LA FERMANTAJ CERIMONIOJ FLAGRU! PROVU LA PLEJ PROKSIMAN MONUMENTAN ONDON KE TRA KIU VI POVAS VOJAĜI.

In English (slight modification from the DavFlamerock version):
Quote:
five, and one athletes fulfill, eleven by drawing; the most important game forty. runninng-races from the opening ceremonies
voyage. the world must align almost perfectly. calculate the goal. it is. the sum of sport below the highest limit
return to your home during the closing ceremonies flare! find the most proximal monumental wave through which you can voyage.

Ch. 25 seems to correspond to the above:

We now know how far the last labyrinth must be from the site of the opening ceremony.
We know how many circuits to construct.
We know where we six must stand when the time comes to go home.
We know how small the number of parallel worlds must fall to, how firmly connected the ring of six must become, before we can pass through the door.

Ideas:
- "running races" should be "stadia"
- "the most important game" should be "labyrinth"
- the labyrinth might be 7-circuit or 11-circuit
- the number of parallel worlds must fall to "the sum of sport below the highest limit", but no ideas of how many.
- why they wrote "five and one" instead of "six" is unknown
