 		ARGFest logo design contest
NEWS: ARGfest is looking for an official logo!

The powers that be have decided to hold a logo design contest, open for community submission. If you think you can provide a logo for the annual ARGFest-o-con event, then head over to the ARGFest logo design flickr group, and submit your design(s).

Votes will be counted by the number of 'favourites' for any particular entry. While votes help determne the community fvourite, the ARGfest planning committee has the final say of the winning design.

Take a look at last years' design submissions for ideas.

The design needs to be
* at least 200dpi, submitted in RGB (not CMYK)
* Date and location text must be included, but optional/removable (will be replaced each year with the updated date and location)

The creator of the winning design will receive
* Free ARGfest registration
* Free t-shirt with the winning design

Once again, head to the Flickr group for the full set of contest rules.
It does mean that to submit, and to vote, you'll need to have a Flickr account (but who doesn't want one of those? =P).

The contest closes July 5, which is just under 3 weeks from today.
But it's better to get your designs in sooner than later.

Consider variations as well - flexibility is a good thing. And again, check last year's logos for ideas...

 		There wasn't a contest last year, at least not at the capacity as this year. Honestly, I don't even remember Smile I didn't take part. I don't believe there was an official tshirt last year either.
They would like to logo a step further this year, and find one that can be used annually, and used officially for various media and attire. That said, I don't see why last year's logos couldn't be submitted for the contest this year, if the original designers wanted to take part.

Hopefully there are some more logos coming Smile

 		oh yeah, mines in JPEG form, but if mine's selected ill give you guys the .psd file to change whatever isnt permanent.

I just added 2 designs into the pool. The submitted entries are just .pngs, but I have the vector images if selected (to enlarge or remove text).
