Re: Alright so let's designate "one" person to approach him

Before we have 10 people send him an investor messages let's make sure no one has done it. don't want to blow our cover as we did with rachel. I'm not in it for pts so gregory if you'd like to do the approach feel free. Let's just make sure no one else jumped the gun.....

I'm not very good at financial pitches, so I'm not the best one for the job. I nominate Russel.(Besides, Lazarus, this isn't for points)

Ah ok..missed the non-pts part

Missed the fact it wasn't for pts that's cool. So Russel, you game? I was thinking maybe something from State Department, or military? Not knowing exactly what project is kinda makes it a little hard. Militarily we could be trying to"buy" the end product so we would help "fund" the project. Or act as someone that is wanting to disclose a gov't grant. Then again you could be a private investor that stumbled on his name being related to Particle Physics and are intersted in financing further studies. I don't know. No one has said anything about writing to him so should be safe for you to work on it. I sent a message to agent white updating him on our train of thoughts at the moment. As of yet no response.

Or....."I work for the army, we're interested in particle weapons, and would like to invest in your research, blah blah blah." Although that's waht you said.

New Blog Post from Hugh....

Quote:
So, some rather odd occurances and I am not entirely sure how to interpret them.

I received several emails from several different people claiming to be Rachel yesterday. Oddly, after today's events, I am not sure Rachel didn't send at least some of them.

I had assumed that once I went to work, I would sort things out, however, that is where much of the confusion lies. Rachel and I rarely speak to each other about anything not related to our project or similar matters. So, it took a lot of courage for me to speak to her about emailing me. She didn't really respond much one way or the other about it, however. She really just blew me off.

I am beginning to wonder if maybe this is her way of playing coy with me. Sending me e-mails in regards to her "user name and password" is just her way of saying I should ask her out on a date. Even though she annoys the piss out of me, she isn't horrible looking, a diamond in the rough maybe.

[edit - just added the quote tag to clarify this is posted and not your own writing - kona]

Which makes me laugh. And he still hasn't answered my damned comments!

Methinks we should lead him into that?

Rebel

As of right now I believe Russell had developed a little back evidence as to being Rachel. Hugh has already showed a little discernment as to busting us for not having decent nicks and stuff. So may be safe bet to have russell continue as Rachel. If you want to flush out the investor story i would. Couldn't hurt to have two different people in the door, and for different reasons. My advice would be to make a fake yahoo account or something though. Maybe someone can offer to make a fake investors page for you real fast to while you make a quick back story for the "investor"

I doubt even if he fails, it'll make a significant difference. I'm sure the PM will have us get a new way to get in if rebel is rejected.

Wait... whut?? Confused Okay, I was pretty much just lurking the thread on this one, but after that line I had to go read this tool's blog, and OMG. So much awesome.

I have a theory about his Jan.08 entry - he got drunk and scribbled a bunch of stuff on his arms, and possibly even blabbed something against his NDA, but he doesn't remember doing it. Or his "friends" saw some of his scribblings. Anyway, maybe they figure he's into something big and they want a piece of it, or something.

Also, our boy Hugh is so obnoxiously clueless about women (yet convinced he's right, of course) that it's painful. I feel a duty to help him. With large blunt instruments, preferably. Anyway, with y'all's permission, I was thinking I could just be your basic blog reader who decides to, er, 'comment' on his ridiculous attitudes on dating and attempt to set him straight.

He did apologize last May for not updating, for "any possible viewers who have been disappointed", so he might buy that I just stumbled across his blog. But the timing could be suspicious, so I might need a better story.
.... Okay, I've finagled a Google search that would give me his blog, so I can say I'm a NYC girl fed up w/ LavaLife guys and was searching for blogs with LavaLife + science terms before giving up on the service. Thoughts?

Good idea, but how is he wrong about women? ( I"m clueless as well, obviously, and I figure I should ask)

Still, it would be good to try and approach the romantic front.

A good life

Quite the teamwork on this one!!! Had a good laugh too. Sounds good Petunia go for it. I agree with you gregory on the what harm can it cause front too, guess i try to keep the reality that is a game sorta in the background. less prodding we get from the PM is more of a job well done in my eyes. But so far this one's been fun just to see all our ideas and all. Imagine something will happen with this one in next day or so though.
