Letter I sent to Hugh

Dear Mr. Conrad:

I have been reading your blog and your association with Charles Rigby Science.

It seems that the money seems to be running dry.

I could be of assistance to you...and would like to set up a meeting with you to discuss your work and maybe we can work something out.

Please contact me via email if you are interested.

hehe Hugh I agree Fincher really should do something about his breath. Ive wanted to say something to him for a long time but didnt have the courage. Thanks again for looking into my silly password issues for me I really appreciate it. I just want to get a few more things calculated and since I have nothing to do in the evenings I may as well work.

Ok so we have been working on this project quite closely now for some time and I have to say I really like your work. You are a dedicated man and I have enjoyed the time we spend together. Oh this sounds really silly doesnt it? Its so much easier to write these things than to vocalise them. Im sorry that at work I seem a different person but im not very good at dealing with these sorts of things.

I was wondering... no its silly. But maybe we could keep up these emails between each other. Dont mention it at work though as I dont want "Stinky" Fincher to think Im unprofessional, you know how it is.

anyway I look forward to your next email

yours

Rachel

Getting a feel of his character from his blog, I think this should hit the spot.

Hopefully it does. If so, he'll be confused beyond belief.

Very nice

I like that one alot Russell. We should get a definitive answer from this whether or not to press this route. Looks good to me though.

I posted this on his blog page. So hopefully it compliments you well.

Mr. Hugh,
many times women can have what you would call a split personality when it comes to work and social life. With sexual harrassment being as big of a problem as it was a few years back you can't blame them. But this Rachel may suprise you. I'd give her a chance anyway. But my advice would be to take it slow. If it doesn't work out there isn't anything more uncomfortable then working with a woman scorned.

Thank you for your e-mail. Yes, I do, in fact, work quite hard, and I am proud of everything I do. In regards to our continued e-mail correspondence, I am rather disappointed. Despite the fact that most of the time you nag me about what I am doing wrong, in your eyes, and are generally exhaustive to work with as well, suddenly you're interested in me? Though, it was only a matter of time before proximity to me caused the seeds of attraction to germinate within you. I am willing to keep our work professional, however I am not content with simply e-mailing for long periods of time. That may succeed in warming you up to a person, but it succeeds only in prolonging necessary physical contact to me. I am a patient man, however my time is precious to me, and spending hours talking to you over the internet is not the kind of relationship or connection I want. However I am willing to satisfy your unnecessary feminine need for the dating ritual for a time. Regards,Hugh

When I saw your email appear in my inbox my heart skipped a beat. I was convinced you werent interested in me and would just make fun of me in work the next day. Im sorry that i seem to be a different person when im at work, but its hard for a woman in this industry. You really have to be one of the boys and keep your head down.

Ill tell you what, how about we make a date for next week. Im free on the Friday? I often think of snuggling up with you and watching some exciting documentary on far away places. Have you ever been to Africa Hugh and seen the animals. It truly is something to experience. Or we could check out a movie, my treat. Ill buy the popcorn and meet you there. Then we can enjoy the film together. I heard they are advertising the latest must see movie before all the screenings. I have to check that out! So what do you say? A date?

I cant make it any sooner im afraid there is just so much work on at the moment and sometimes I feel that for every three steps forward we take we take two steps back. If you can get my login password sent over ill get as much work done as I can between now and then and we can have the whole weekend together. So what do you say? A date?

Rachel

OMG Russell, THAT is so awesome. You are playing him like a Stradivarius, it's a beautiful thing to see, and gives me the giggles like you wouldn't believe. Worshippy

Hugh, OTOH, is a complete ass. He just wants to get laid, so why doesn't he just get himself a high-priced hooker and dispense with the dating altogether? In fact I think I'll put that on his blog in just a bit. Twisted Evil

EDIT: Never mind, I've been thinking of what to post and realizing that any comments I might make could have undesired consequences (I always did suck at chess), so I'll hold off til we hear from the ass.

BINGO!
New Letter from Hugh to me...

Help me draft a response! Smile

Quote:
Hello there Mr. Block.

I must admit at first I was rather skeptical as to the whether your e-mail was genuine. We have been having some issues concerning fraudulent e-mails.

Upon careful consideration I have decided to take you up on your offer. Our funds are not necessarily running out, however there is always a need for new investors to make sure it doesn't.

Please, let me know of your previous investments, as well as your interest in the project I am on under CRS.

I look forward to hearing from you,
Hugh Conrad

A possible response

Hmm rebel. Maybe something along the lines of....

( Name of company ) invests civilian contracts for possible military interests. If we feel the science and technology is up to par we normally invest pretty heavily. Then in turn the military generally buys the contract of of us for a much greater sum. So it is in both our interests. My company will keep you funded and in turn as the end of the project grows near the gov't will pay tenfold. Not to mention a cushy job for you working liason with the gov't. If this sounds like it can work for you I will need to find out some details on your work....yada yada yada

How is this? Smile I sent this already.

Dear Mr. Conrad:

Thank you for your prompt reply.

JIB Enterprises Inc. invests in civilian defense, technology companies and
scientific interests for the potential use of military technology. If we
like what we see, we invest a lot.

Then, the military generally buys into what we like and there is mutual
benefit for both the military and for us.

JIB Enterprises will keep your company funded, and in turn if your project
turns the way we like, you get a tenfold return on your investment. And of
course, a sweet job for you as a liaison between your company and the
government.

Now that I have shown my hand, you must show yours.
If this sounds plausible, I would like to know a little about what you do
for Charles Rigby Science.

Please contact me as soon as possible to let me know what you think.

Yours,

Jason Block
JIB Enterprises, Inc.
