Are those of you on Twitter following @ARGfestOCon? If not you should be!

Also, we still have some room on the schedule. Who would you like to hear speak this year? @reply or post here!

We're about ready to open up for registration, keep an eye on this page for more info! As a heads-up, we are going to be offering a discount for early-bird registrants! Umm, "early" being a relative concept... *cough* Wink

I think I might actually be able to make it Smile

I need to find a roomy (or three) and a small seat in a car (non-driver, but middling to good navigator) that's heading Portlandish from SF/Bay Area in exchange for petrol, conversation and beer?

Wanted to give y'all a heads up... the official ARGfest-o-Con t-shirt contest was announced yesterday. Submissions are due by May 25 and you can submit as many designs as you'd like. The winning design will get a free pass to ARGfest.

Flight is BOOKED!

Unfortunately, I will have to leave Sunday morning. The difference between Sunday morning and a Sunday evening "red eye" is $200+, and that was too hard a sell.

I will be arriving in Portland circa 2:30pm on Friday the 17th, and have to be in PDX on Sunday at 7:00am.

See y'all there.

Hi people.

I'm not coming, since it's way to expensive to fly from Europe.
I'm just posting to request one thing from the organization/ people attending:

Please try to make everything that happens over there available for the people that can't attend, in good quality. I mean the talks and Q&A and such.
Maybe I'm unaware of the places to look, but the video's I found from 2008 and 2007 are pretty hard to follow. At least for a non-native English speaker as myself.
An example, here's so much background noise I often can't understand what they're saying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-nl19iPpDM
And please do not laugh during presentations, I missed complete sentences because of all the jokes! Wink

So yeah, even when you connect an MP3 player with record function to the mixing table, to record the audio straight from the microphones, that would probably improve the sound quality a lot.
The real enthusiasts could film the talks with 2 cameras: one on the speakers, the other on the slide show presentation (if there is any). And then edit it afterwards. Wink

That's just my 2cents. I will leave you guys to your excitement now. Crying or Very sad Wink
And if there are any better recordings of the past ARGFests, please give me a pointer, and I will shut up...

(as a sidenote - this is something that's been bugging me increasingly at conferences I've been to - make sure if there's time for audience input and questions that either they have a microphone so they're both heard correctly and recorded, or the person with the mic repeats what was said (or summarizes) into a mic). I hate it when the moderator just says something like "Yeah, good point. Next!" Razz

With just over 2 months to go until ARGfest, I'm seeing that the museum is still looking rather sad and empty. How does kona manage to get you guys to bring stuff? Razz

Anyway, once again I'd like to bug you all to visit the museum page on the wiki and add what you can bring. If you don't feel confident editing the wiki, feel free to shoot me a PM with what you have, and I'll add it for you. How about that!

Don't forget, it looked like this this time last year, but evolved into this, so there's plenty of chance to get your stuff in.
