Is this where we organize ride-sharing/meetups from the airport to the hotel?

Allison and I will be arriving at 9:15 on the morning of July 17th. If anyone else is coming in around that time, how's about we meet up and share a cab/ get a ride from a local/ other?

I'm guessing you will likely opt for "other." The Max train is probably the cheapest and easiest way to get to the hotel. I've updated the wiki with more specific travel directions, as it was a little vague.

Thanks to everyone who's contributing to the ARG Museum, looks like we're going to have a nice display this year, in no small part thanks to thebruce and enaxor. Since I have to have a little time to actually prep for the Museum, I'm declaring submissions closed now.

If you do have something you desperately want to bring, shoot me a PM and I'll probably be able to squeeze it in, but please don't edit the wiki page since I'll no longer be looking at it.

Cheers!

Due to a ridiculous sequence of events that I care not to get into, I might not be attending ARGFest this year. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I am really going to try my damnedest to be there.

The fates (read: work) conspired quite a while back to keep me from making a Portland ARGFest trip.

What's strange is that for this weekend only... My wife/sons are going to be in Vancouver and my Daughter will be in Portland. All for completely unrelated reasons.

invading the internets

ARGFest on various social networking sites

Flickr: We have a group pool that anyone may join and add their photos to. Also, whether or not you choose to join the pool, please tag your photos with ARGFest2009 (as well as your other tags) so that people can find them.

Twitter: The official twitter account is @ARGFest. If you are twittering about the conference, please use the #argfest hashtag.

ustream: Remix Fiction (aka Steve Diddle) will be streaming as much of the conference as the hotel wireless will allow. You can follow along here. Jonathan Waite and ARG Netcast will also be streaming on occasion which you can find here.

irc: for those that wanna go all oldskool, we have #argfest on irc.chat-solutions.org which you can get to from mibbit.

(i'll attempt to keep this post updated throughout the weekend - but don't count on it Wink)

slight reminder for those who don't remember, or new info for those who don't know... if your twitter account is friend's only, the hashtag won't come up in any searches.

There's also a facebook group for ARGers, however there hasn't been an official event created (yet?) for ARGfest 09.

eta: correct, there has (I hate when I do that!) - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=73986043589
eta2: though it's not really an "official" event, I think, given the creator... but there it is fwiw. done now =P

If anyone is arriving early and looking for something to do Thursday night, I'd highly recommend Ignite Portland: http://www.igniteportland.com/about/ It's a bunch of 5 minute talks in an historic movie theater (that serves beer, naturally). Some talks are geeky, many are not. They are given by people who are passionate about a subject and have a deck of PowerPoint slides on fully automatic computer control (15 seconds per slide, 20 slides, no backtracking, no exceptions). A typed out description doesn't do it justice, but it truly is a fun and unique event. Anyway, I'll be there and highly recommend it to anyone in town on Thursday.
