First weekend is my son's birthday.

Second weekend is my wife's birthday.

Gee... You're doing everything possible for me *not* to go, aren't you? Wink

Yes, I'm certain that the planners' List of All Things ARGFest looks like this:

1. Make sure to make it totally, absolutely impossible for Nighthawk to attend ARGFest!

(Of course not!)

Seriously, I know that lots of people will be disappointed not to see you there, but if you really wanted to be there, you could make it happen. If you want to come to ARGFest, make it happen, dude! Surely your family will understand your desire to have a weekend in Portland to meet and mingle with the ARG community, if it means a lot to you.

Ok, so, even though we are planning to officially announce the date for ARGfest '09 in the very near future, I thought it'd be good to unofficially let you all know that we have decided on the weekend of July 17-19!

Please keep your eyes on http://www.argfestocon.com/ for more info soon. Be advised that we are currently working on securing a deal to offer group rates on hotel rooms in the area where ARGFest will be held, so you'd best wait until we can release more details before booking your hotel rooms.

Hooray!

I know I'm hardly alone in being extremely pleased at the pre-announcement Smile Thanks for letting us know.

Not sure if it's already known, but there is a site for this year at http://2009.argfestocon.com

Bookmark it and watch the RSS for news too Smile

So... is the date 'unofficial' or 'official'? ie, can we now begin actual planning for that weekend for vacation?
The earlier we buy plane tickets the cheaper... =)

Also, we should try to get a list of people who are hoping/planning to attend ComicCon the following week so we can arrange for travel/sleeping for the interim and such. I believe there's a bunch of people wanting to do both, and we're all going to be heading from Portland to San Diego Smile
ETA: D'oh! missed this thread! n/m then =P
