 Since we're waiting
Funny coincidence

Since nothing is going on yet, I thought I'd mention that some of the stock footage (of the instructor in front of the whiteboard) used in the MNU video is also used by Heroes Evolutions in their Pinehearst Company video. You can see it at http://www.pinehearstresearch.com.

Is it too early to start creating a who's-who resource?

I rather like this idea. Whether it's on a wiki or just a reference thread here (when we get the eventual move into Potentials), i'm game. I enjoyed doing that for my first ARG experience with "Push, NV", even though it never really got used in the game, it helps to establish the playing field.

Terrorist news stories seem to be popping up more often in the D-9 satelite link.

Arrow

Did anyone else pick up those pamphlets at the Heroes booth at comic-con about Pinehearst Reasearch? Im guessing D-9 just use the same video then and actually arn't related... poo. haha nice noticing that though, i wouldn't have caught that.

On each of the signs PostLarval posted, that darn crest or whatever is present. The same one used by "Doubtful" on the MNU Spreads Lies blog.

Is this relevant at all?

Good eye, I didn't notice that but that's interesting. I bet we will find out about that later.

That crest/logo has interested me since I first saw the signs. If it's important enough to print on them, it'll likely play a significant role at some point.

Since I do have a sign in my possession, I've taken a close-up shot of it:

new here...

Just got back from Comic Con, saw the 'non-human only' signs at every bathroom entrance...had to find out WHY!

I've never been involved in a ARG, but I absolutely love the idea. I've been searching all over the sites that I found via the www.d-9.com site. Finally did a google search to see if anyone else was talking about it, and found this place!

Can I play too?

That pickaxe reminds me of some game we played in middle school called math mountain or something. There was elves and mountain climbing involved.. yeah. /OT

Found it! It's the crest of Gauteng whcih Johannesburg is capital of.
http://uk.geocities.com/landswapen/GautE.html

Funnily enough, on the actual crest it says "Unity in Diversity" which seems to have been taken off the other one.

EDT: Some more..

Quote:
The pick symbolises the mining activities on which the wealth of the province have been built. A pick also appeared in the arms of Southern Rhodesia and the Republic of Rhodesia, which was also built on mining activities – or at least the expectation of great wealth.

Weren't most of the jobs George and the d-9 website talked about mining jobs? They also seem to have taken the bees out of the crown, and I can't really figure out why.

Nice find!

It is odd how they took out the words and the bees. I found the mining part particularly interesting.
