I think I can translate Noriko's videos, but in order to complete the following

a higher level translater like Rumiko at Noriko's forum might be necessary, or a native English speaker might need to modify my translation, because usual translation from Japanese to European languages changes lengths of sentenses.

Rivanor, do you read this thread? How do you think about it?

An interesting idea. One might want to consider the use of subtitles though, so as not to drown the language with English ?

I'm going to continue gathering media (pictures, videos, etc) and will do my best to post layout sketches sometime tonight or tomorrow morning.

Also a viable option, though it'd be difficult for me to put in subtitles perfectly as I'm not familiar with the languages (I could probably pull off Spanish, Portuguese, and French).

And if we do voiceovers, and you'd rather not record yourself, I'm willing to do it if we have translations on the wikis. Right now, the most important things to translate are the videos.

Just got an e-mail from Jason, our AvantGames contact. He's working to collect a list of assets I asked him about a few days ago - will post a complete list a little later tonight !

So where to go from here... looking for the next ARG to sink my teeth into.. one that isn't going to die. If currently ongoing, one that isn't too far along.. Suggestions?

As promised, here's the list of documents I've asked Jason if he could procure for us :

Pictures

* About 5 different pictures of the following characters : Ariadne/Alex, Marius, Diego, Lucie, Meihui, Noriko, Monica, Larissa, Kai, Eli Hunt, Kentaro, Toria.
* One or several group pictures of the 6 - Ariadne/Alex, Lucie, MeiHui, Noriko, Markus, Diego
* Pictures of the following significant places of FTLR, if there are any : Eli Hunt's office, the labyrinths where the 6 were found, pictures taken by the game team when dropping the pages of the codex into place,
* If available, any and all production material : pictures of shooting session, pictures of sets before/during shooting, drafts of the design for the Lost Ring sculptures.

Videos

* The five trailers that appeared on the http://www.thelostring.com website
* If available in better quality than that which the characters posted, having access to their videos somewhere other than on YouTube would be nice !
* Try-outs videos of the actors that were cast as the main characters - if there are any.

Hey guys,
I'm not sure if we're up to this point yet but I came up with an idea for the dvd title screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73mq5d2E6Q0

Thanks,

I quite like it. Would it be possible to do away with the jerkiness, though ?

As for the menu, there are probably going to be a lot more than 3 choices available. Do you think there'd be a way to use the space on the screen more efficiently - maybe frame the rings with the menu choices ?

Ok, so no jerkiness, and each menu corresponding to a ring. Got it. I was also thinking about instead of gibberish putting the words in esperanto first before they turn into english. I'll get to work on it right away.

Oh, by the way I'm not that savvy with configuring dvd menus, so I'll just email the clips to anyone who wants to take on the task Smile

If you go with Esperanto for the menu titles before they revert to English I'll happily translate.

Alright here's the revised clips for the menu title. It includes the opening animation, the menu still, and the outro animation. I only included the first 3 titles; I will add the others later once we clarify what those are.
Tell me what ya think Smile

Oh, and I don't think the esperanto translations that I did are accurate, so Dav can you translate the English into esperanto for me?

Thanks,
Sparta247
