New email

Just got a voicemail. Trying to transcribe it, but it's hard to hear. I'll keep attempting, but please try to beat me to it Wink

Tag and Tube and more.

I think we are being told to look at the 'tags' on Youtube videos for clues.

The card talks about the song 'Another Year'. It has tags, but they don't seem to be clues.

At the point when she sings 'smaller by degrees' she passes a sign, I cant read it.

The crossroads is the one from the photo I think.

Look out for the man who appears from the left in the AY video.

Also silent lion is an anagram of online list.

Are the reversed file names on monolith and sea significant?

Beths Flickr has 'keys'.

Are the logins functional, or will they always return the same message?

Sorry this is not clear enough. I have to go to work.
Back tonight.

the keys....the keys?
the key at bones, literally deals with keys

In Beth's myspace, she describes her collection of KEYS, which is a link to here
http://www.otherpeopleskeys.com/
and we need a KEY to get in the BONES page on
http://www.joiedevivresalon.com/4.html

if you go to the first post, in the replies is a link to the Latchkey Project
http://www.avantgame.com/key.htm
Where there keys you can get, and there's something that can be opened by them
if you look at the last picture near the bottom, the one with a bunch of keys, there's letters and numbers.... I believe this is how we get the KEY to open the BONES page.

Also, look at the art as well. I'm sure it all adds up.

I'm waaay too tired to figure this out right now, but I do believe this is a big step forward if anyone wants to figure it out?

Re: the keys....the keys?

I'm having bad luck finding time to get this voicemail transcribed, so let me give you the gist.

It's from a girl named Melody. She says she was given my number by Jack (I'm assuming from WKAP). She's upset because she lost her purse, and says she wrote a whole long blog post about it, but doesn't want to get into it right now. The reason she's calling is that Jack thought I might know someone in London who can help. Melody's there because that's where the photos of Amanda were taken (is that right?).

She apologizes several times for it being weird to contact out of the blue.

Whoops. That comment is from me. The Latchkey Project is a genuine project from Jane McGonigal, which has been around for years and which almost certainly has nothing whatsoever to do with WKAP. I posted the link because I think that Beth actually does like to collect keys -- in real life, no connection to the ARG -- and I thought she'd like the site. Sorry for the red herring. Embarassed

Sorry for double-posting...

The message makes a reference to Melody's blog entry:

Melody Dean wrote:
I lost my purse, with my little brown notebook in it, where I was writing about things-- things I'd rather keep private. Whoever finds it probably will have no idea what it is, and I shouldn't worry. I'm sure I will call the lost and found of the numerous clubs and coffee shops I was at yesterday and find it. The ICA. The Barfly. Koko.

I smell a deaddrop!

The Institute of Contemporary Arts, The Mall, London SW1Y 5AH
The Barfly Club, 59-61 Farringdon Road, London, EC1M 3JB
KOKO London, 1A Camden High Street, London, NW1 7JE (Amanda Palmer will be there tomorrow night, Friday, October 10, 2008, at 8:00 p.m.)

So, who knows someone in London who can visit those places and claim a missing purse for poor Melody, and who of course is so scrupulously honest that he/she would never dream of peeking in that little brown notebook? Mr. Green

We have a potential Agent on the case in London. But said Agent thinks those locations are pretty far apart to be traveling without good reason. Should we ask Melody if she can narrow down where she lost her purse?

Hey, I said they were fairly far apart. But I can still visit all 3.

I'm going into the city tomorrow anyway, so if you want me to run around and ask people about a missing purse, I'd be happy to. If you can narrow the location down, that would also be great, but if not then I can make it to all 3 locations.

Didn't mean to misquote you. Sorry!

Sooo, do we tell Melody that Amanda is supposed to be at Koko tomorrow?

Koko

I'll be at the Koko gig on friday. And I could go to the ICA in the morning, if they have something to be picked up. I wonder if there might be something in all 3 locations. I'm assuming that it would be better to call first. I suspect there will be a number of people on the prowl, particularly at the gig. So, if there's a plan... I'll help if I can. I'll check in here again at around 8.00am GMT to see i there are any developements.

www.partyontheinternet.com
probably not connected

This is in the sourcecode of the site.

pageok
03
7.9

I only mention it because the 03 and7.9 reminds me of the number clue for 'smaller by degrees' which led to the youtube video with the tag 'smallerbydegrees'.

It might just be designer notes, as I don't think the site is part of the game.
But... the numbers could be 'Night city'.
Perhaps not.

Sorry if it's a waste of time. It just looked familiar.
