Just quickly checking in.

My meeting's at midday today, and I expect it won't last more than an hour. After that, I can go to any/all of the locations, though I don't know whether or not the bars/clubs are open at that time. I'll check back here after the meeting, see if Sean's found anything at ICA.

ICA

The ICA doesn't open until 12. I'll be at work by then. So, it's more likely that you'll be able to go. The switchboard number is 0207 930 0493. A call from mister Dean on behalf of his dear wife would be a good idea I think.

"The third Mr Dean today... how coincedental!"

Maybe not Mr Dean then... hmmm...

I'll be at Koko tonight for the gig, so if anyone calls them in the day and want's me to pick something up tonight, I couild do that. But leave them the 'invented' name of the person who will pick up, and PM me what it is before 6pm. Although I suspect the drop will be at the ICA, and that it will be long gone by the time I get out from work at 6pm.

Keep us updated on your progress.

Good luck.

ICA.
Doesn't seem to be here.

The ICA don't seem to have it. I called them. They do have 2 purses, but not one with a notebook in it. I said I'd double check with my 'friend' and get back to them if I needed to.

The Barfly Club is probably not at Farringdon. That's their office.
They have 3 london venues:

1.Barfly in Camden.
This is the most likely place. It is a pub during the day.

2.The Fly in New Oxford St
3.The Venue at ULU.

Triple post. Yikes.
Good luck.

Off to Camden then! I'll let ya know if I find anything.

ETA: I'm standing opposite now, but it doesn't look open. Will you be able to make it there tonight, Sean?

If you can narrow the location down, that would also be great, but if not then I can make it to all 3 locations.

If I had to guess -- and I do -- then I'd say KOKO is the most likely suspect, just because Amanda will be there tonight. Please keep in mind, however, that the purse might not be at any of these places: they could be just examples of the sort of place Melody left it.

Melody Dean wrote:
I went all over town yesterday, to the places she used to play, the places she wanted to play.

For example, Amanda performed at the ICA back on August 21. The purse could be anywhere; if the PM is sufficiently cruel, it won't be at any of the three places Melody mentioned, and we'll have to research all of Amanda's past concerts.

...But I'd still try these three first, and KOKO before the others. Thanks for volunteering to do the legwork on this! After all, we'll never know if we don't check, right?

There are at least three videos. There is a post about them on the shadowbox forum. But they make very little sense at the moment. It seems that there will probably be many more of them to peice together later.

Also...
I found nothing.

The ICA don't seem to have anything. They claim to have had two purses handed in on the day in question, but neither matched the description.

I didn't get as far as the Barfly. That still needs looking into.

I enqired with Koko about lost property, and was told to email the address on their website, which I have done.
I did get there just in time to see Jason Webley.

I saw a ghost.
And I saw Melody.

One is tagged with littletosea, per the Monolith & Sea site. Another is tagged with prettyjuliet, which I stumbled across only because YouTube listed it under "Related Videos" -- does anyone know how we were supposed to find it?

Sounds promising!

Did Melody see the ghost, too? Mr. Green

the words "pretty" and "juliet" were edited out of that video on a webpage that was titled "tag you're it"

Hi, i'm very new to ARG's (this is my first time!) and noticed that on page two of Joie devivre salon the images of the muses all have symbols coming out from circles drawn on the card all of them are pretty straight forward, apart from polly and clio. Polly's I don't know/umderstand, and Clio doesn't have any. Is it possible theres a hidden file in the clio card image? Any advice, much appreciated Smile

I tried found things, nothing from lodon on the right sort of date (most recent was 28th september).

Hey just got here from the WKAP site. Looks like there's a lot more going on here than there.

I'm wondering if anyone has really looked into Barnaby Whitfield's site
http://barnabywhitfield.com/pages/main.html

And did anyone else catch the fine print on the Joie-de Vivre site?

"The fine print: You will find wonder wherever you can, and spread joy whenever you are able."

http://www.joiedevivresalon.com/5.html
Also, the gallery page has rollover text.

'it's not a good idea,' said clio

But Calliope wouldn't listen. She was inspired.

'It's time to be women of our words,' Polly agreed.

'Yes, it will be a beautiful tragedy, ' Mel said.

E, however, said nothing and only smiled.

Re: smallerbydegrees
Re: purse

Just got another phone message from Melody.

She called from Heathrow Airport. She's heading to Austria, because she heard a rumor that Amanda might be there. She never found her purse. (Did we?)

She sounds really sad.

Edit: She's got a new blog entry, too. Among other things, it includes a better description of the purse ("little black velvet purse with the black beaded strap"), as well as an indication that we may have been on the right track ("Koko said they definitely had a purse matching my description"). And nothing short of explicit directions to where it is now:

Melody Dean wrote:
It was at the Tate Modern, I think. And is probably in their lost & found. I was tired of crying where everyone could see me and running around on the tube. I ducked into their exhibit on the bottom floor, in the dark, wrapped in the sounds of rain. I crawled into one of the metal blue bunk beds and cried, and fell asleep. Next to the Lathe of Heaven. Each of the beds had a book on them-- the Lathe of Heaven was on mine.

Could someone please go get it? Actual Sean? Agent Lex? I just feel so sorry for her...

Oh, here's some incentive for you. There's something else in the purse besides that interesting-sounding notebook (and if I weren't on another stinkin' continent I'd go get it myself):

Melody Dean wrote:
Little CD signed by her hands, adorned with her looping ink signature curved next to Neil's smaller one, from the first time I met him.

Shocked
