 		I got a reply from the Last Programmer today, after a long wait...

The only reference to "collective one computer" on google:

 		Looks like we can comment on the postings on the website now too.

Interestingly, I had sent in a second name to enter into the subroutine, that of Judd Holdren, the actor who played a character named Commando Cody in an old TV series which featured the Art Direction of Frank Arrigo (an original name on the subroutine who was also the art director of The Last Command, on the subroutine it said he was the "son of Cody."

I received this email this morning:

looks like a site update, with all the people who have given their details being added to the "sub-routine". Also, the rss feed has been updated and it looks like we are all famous - because this thread has been listed there, under the link title "they think its a game"...

 		No, it doesn't look like people were notified of the fact that they've been entered into the subroutine.

Since I used the same email addy to try and figure out whether he was waiting for some specific names for the subroutine, I got an email yesterday saying

He replied

I asked him how he'd gotten the ability to alter the code in the system. His replies all come from the gmail account that asks for your name. The from field reads "Last Programmer"

 		Poked around a bit. The general definition of Octday that I've found was 08/08/08. Not sure if the octday he references is the same one, so I have no idea what/when novday is.

EDIT: Whoops, should have checked the site itself before posting. looks like today is novday. There's an update with more names, and a new blog post: "the new y2k".
