Was thinking that myself.

As far as people in Wednesday's IRC session, if it turns out they all mentioned were there, could we have a mole? How else would AAA know who to give credit to?

when did you submit it? tygr and myself were there with some others, but hit the snag of having already registered an email. I just re-submitted with a different email, and it went through. There may have been a good 10-15 minutes for the first 5 to have submitted the correct code... it doesn't say if your code was right or not, so there could have been typos, some may have given up because of the 'already registered email' check, some might not have gotten that far anyway...
I don't think it was random.

As long as all five of us can say we submitted the code within a decent amount of time, I'd say it's the first 5. And I'm not sure what other forums are relatively active following this aside from SHH and MyResistance, neither of which I think were as active as UF or IRC.

I had to resubmit through a different email address, also. But I don't think it took me very long to submit them. Like you said, people probably gave it up after they got blocked trying to submit again.

I wasn't on IRC, I was at work at the time, and they block it... =(

I submitted the control number +/- a few seconds of the document being mentioned in the uF thread, which is why I was wondering if the IRC folks were quickest to the draw Smile

Also, didn't have to resubmit.

Since you like sci-fi/fantasy, read anything by Fred Saberhagen.

I'll be a David Gemmell fan until I die...but I'll keep reading everything I can freaking find...from Faulkner to Cornwell to J effing K Rowling...

I was the one that found document xx458199 and a couple of posts later someone shouted out xx458200. That one had the DCN # which I immediatly entered...at first I thought it odd that I wasn't one of the five names, but I'm not surprised. So some people got it entered faster...all I can say is....good job and congrats!

now that I think about it..

the last time there was a countdown in the TDK viral, me and another guy got about 50 or so people together in an aol chat so that we could get everything faster than the refreshing boards...even with that, I still only conjured ticket #8 to the pre-screening of the movie..

that's how it goes!

I wasn't in the chat. But as soon as I pulled up the document and saw the seal, I entered it and I didn't have any trouble with my email address.

I was, however, in that chat room. And I got #1 for Houston. Maybe my computer's just fast. Shocked

To the tipsters thanked in the newsletter-

Were all of you in IRC Wednesday? That seems to be where the puzzle solution was first posted... I'm curious if this was a random choice names, or a first come first serve thing.

I was in IRC, and was (I think) the first one to figure out what the Bible Puzzle's answer was. But I got over-excited and submitted the number in red from the first document we saw, which was not in fact the control number. Then I couldn't re-submit when I realized my mistake. oh well! such is life Smile

What was this puzzle for? im so upset i missed out on everything. Last time I had an issue with the email address already being used was when we had to submit the test qustions using 1 word answers. thats not what this was about is it????

IRC? Where the heck it this? NABBIT! I need to stop doing so much work at work, lol!

*looks for boss*

Anyways, I think Hale will be up next, but it doesn't matter, as he will be next week anyways. I think he'll be up next because keeping him last seems like a cop-out...

And I'd bet voting for Hale would have him injected and nothing would happen at all. No cure but no symptoms either. It would however make his resistant to the virus so that he doesn't turn when he's infected.

I think that will be for the best. I think if the actual selection meant a difference, that we bungled it up from the start. I think After Capelli went, should've been Oster, then Gennaro... but perhaps I'm looking too much into it. Now that Oster's next, I suspect that he may not die, because he was best suited for the correction after Capelli, but since brown was thrown into the mix, I don't know that Oster will be killed or not... I suspect that he won't, but his life or death may be the result of the second round of injections (if there is any).
