How do I become one of the package recievers?

I was wondering, what is the best way to get my address out there for PuppetMasters to send me documents for ARGs that are just starting? I'm always walking into the middle of a game: for once, I'd like to be the one to get the "mysterious package" that needs players attention.

Not that I am complaining, I love all of the ARGs I get into. I just want to help one start while being a player.

If there's swag to be had, an ARG will usually ask for an (optional) address when players apply to the general-purpose mailing list at the start of the game. Not every ARG will do that, so another option might be to include your address in the signature of all your emails sent to in-game characters.

Also, if you're having troubles getting the jump on new ARGs, try adding your email address to the Interaction Thread.

People who get packages are usually pretty active with their online presence, whether it be on Unfiction or targeted at another audience. The game designers want to send stuff to someone who is 1) sure to post about it, and 2) able to reach a large audience.

Yep to both those. Also, it helps to be an advocate for the game and an early poster in the thread. I guess that still comes under being an active presence, but you can focus that activity. If you find a PM or style you like (and you will), jump on those games early and often. Took me about 700 posts to get my first swag, though, and a lot of those posts were in threads from PMs/Groups that eventually rewarded me. Swag is so much fun.

Getting email trailheads is easier. Do what Omega said. I've also noticed that posting in the 'is that spam?' thread in News and Rumors tends to help, but that's one of those 'how can you get experience when all the jobs require experience' things to an extent.
