I didn't really know what Uthark is, so I wiki'd it, and it's apparently a way of understanding runes. The theory is that if you take the first letter of the rune alphabet, "F", and place it in the back, the entire alphabet becomes solvable, thus changing Futhark to Uthark. Obviously we have to take something from the front and put it to the back.

EDIT: Doh! The first thing's been solved? *cries*

No, nothing is solved yet since I got stuck and apparently no one else was working on it. xD

Alright so let's look at the initial message. We're looking for a 7-digit key, still, perhaps something on the website?.. Time to investigate.

Maybe use the blowfish thing to decrypt the message, then, take the first letter/number and put it at the end? Or take the first letter in each row of the block of text, and put it at the end of each row, then decrypt?

Tried using the last digits of each line as the key. No succes. Tried using the last numbers of the last line, no success...

This is the way the program works btw:

Meh, I've never used Crypto. New to encryption/decryption done via computer.

Is blowfish a mod of it or something?

*googles*

Alright, this is the..."explanation":

http://www.schneier.com/blowfish.html wrote:
Blowfish is a symmetric block cipher that can be used as a drop-in replacement for DES or IDEA. It takes a variable-length key, from 32 bits to 448 bits, making it ideal for both domestic and exportable use. Blowfish was designed in 1993 by Bruce Schneier as a fast, free alternative to existing encryption algorithms. Since then it has been analyzed considerably, and it is slowly gaining acceptance as a strong encryption algorithm. Blowfish is unpatented and license-free, and is available free for all uses.

...Right.

I don't think G is needed, as the site only mentions uthark, not utharkg.

well, the PM said 7 digits, and the first runes in the row if you leave out 'f' are utharkg

Blowfish is an encoding/decoding program.
The body of the program is the message that can be coded and decoded by a KEY.

For example, the code:
cBg049fNnfKZexZoHxbU1xElzIvcEI5-
Can be decrypted with the key: Bunny.

Thus the code our little friend left behind on the website can be decrypted with a code as well. Careful; he said 7-digit code which makes me believe it may be 7 numbers.

Google time I guess.

I think we're looking too much into Uthark itself. Methinks he only referred to Uthark for the theory's requirements.

Interestingly enough, when I put the code in normally, and tried to decrpyt with Uthark, it said invalid characters. When I put the first letter/number at the end, it didn't say anything, although the result was gibberish.

Let's suppose the Uthark is a tool to decipher the code... Then where is the reference to where we can find the code..?

On another note: the last message of the PM was:

Quote:
I havent been totally honest with you. I needed the key to get back to her and you helped me very well. But now i'm afraid you will need to be late to save her life...

Based on the received e-mail:

Subject: Re: Please help me...

Who are you?? I expected Mike to answer.

Anyway, at this stage I will take all the help I can find.

I just landed from British Airways flight 15, I am still at the Ariport. I will contact you as soon as I have the chance to settle down and get some hour of sleep.

J'espère que j'arrive à temps.

I suspect 'her' is Eleanor.
So who is Mike?
Perhaps this will help to find the Key?

edit: or perhaps I should e-mail Eleanor again and see if she can give us any clues.

edit2: unless the most recent post on the website: http://www.yellowcurtain.com/2008/08/sc-47734.html
gives someone a clue.
