Apologies Drejl everyone has seemingly been jumping the gun this evening myself included and I know the feeling I am 1hr behind you lol.

Now as for this... Okay so we have this video it still doesn't make it any clearer to me personally how it's s'posed to help us decode the 'letter'? to unlock the first part...?

In the first circle link on http://www.polycystin.com/ it has the message

Quote:

"Mike, I left you a link : 5lgub3.
Remets ce lien à Eleanora

Which translates to:
Quote:

"Mike, I left you a link : 5lgub3.
Give this link to Elenora

Maybe we're supposed to contact Elenora and give her the 5lgub3 video link that was found? That might help us unlock the message with all the X's below.

In the second circle link we have:

Quote:
The artifact is the key Eleanora. Contact B.G.
Art Historian of the XIX century. Demande lui de t'aider à rechercher les travaux de Khnopff.

Which roughly translates into:
Quote:
The artifact is the key Eleanora. Contact B.G.
Art Historian of the XIX century. Ask her to help you research the works of Khnopff.

Searching for Khnopff i found this wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernand_Khnopff

The paragraphs below looks like a definition for the word Sublime. The bolded le sublime translates to the sublime one. I tried to translate it in babelfish but without correct grammar it sounds like nonsense lol.

And the last circle link displays a western blot analysis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_blot

As for the second part....

"The artifact is the key Eleanora. Contact B.G.
Art Historian of the XIX century. Demande lui de t'aider à rechercher les travaux de Khnopff."

The French I translated to.
Quote:
Ask him to help you to look for the works of Khnopff.

It then goes on to say "Sublime (latin : sublimis, « qui va en s'élevant »

Or to us English.
Quote:
Sublimate (Latin: sublimis, "that goes while rising" or "that is held in the air") designates in the daily language a grandiose and impressive thing (reversing), that nevertheless cannot be perceived or understood that with a very fine sensitiveness.

As aesthetic concept, the sublimates designates a quality of extreme amplitude or forces, that transcends the beautiful one. The sublimates is linked to the inaccessibility feeling (towards the incommensurable). As such, the sublimates releases an astonishment, inspired by the fear or the respect.

I'm assuming we have to find something of Khnopff to do w/ Sublime as the answer?

And how are we contacting Elanor?

Edit: Any chance of seeing those Co-Ords?

Edit 2: Nvm got them. Although I'm not seeing E.Island.

Well that's odd...

Anyway good job guys.

I'm still trying to work out exactly what we're s'posed to be gaining from that first section 0_o

Elanors craigslist email came back negative, non-responsive and non-existent?

Edit: NVM. I found the gmail address and have shipped off an email explaining that Mike was informed to give her that link.

Just to be on the safe side I also asked Elanor who Heinrich was...

Although you guys may already know?

Also looking up Heinrich and XXIX I came across both:

Quote:
Heinrich XXIX (Count) of REUSS-EBERSDORF

And this interesting page w/ occult/rune type stuff but I doubt it's relevant.

Hey peeps, haven't really contributed to this site since "Geist" but this one's got me seriously hooked. Just finished reading the posts, currently checking out the abundant Khnopff links on the web. If I find anything interesting..... well you'll probably have found it before me. Wink But I'll keep looking. Hope you don't mind me just jumping on board. Very Happy

I'm trying to translate the the French letters but being as I cannot just copy and paste it, my writing w/ the understanding of â's, é's, ç's and other ê's etc it just aint working lol

I know that in April this started over Adam finding something a rock/artifact which supposedly came from New Zealand or he found it in N.Z and then his friend from N.Z Said it was a fraud or something along those lines.

And course not daemon; welcome aboard Smile

Edit: The last part of the 3 page letter practically says that the website's now up and running and she feels she may have made contact w/ Adams last known contact in N.Z, now in Australia - She's going for a cpl weeks to meet them [as per her video] - She says she knows she's already asked a lot of us but would be entirely grateful were we to help her unlock the 3 enigmas on the site.

Hey guys I've solved the first puzzle (the one found by clicking the uppermost circle on the Polycystin site). I was convinced for a while that it referred to Heinrich Himmler, which took me in a horribly wrong direction. But here's the solve:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The linked video goes to some annoying girls talking about Foucault's Pendulum in the Panthéon in Paris. Foucault's Pendulum is a novel by Umberto Eco with a huge number of chapters (and also mentions stuff about the Thule Society and the Cult of Cthulhu). Chapter 29 begins with a quote by Heinrich Neuhaus.

Inputting "Heinrich Neuhaus, Pia et ultimissima admonestatio de Fratribus Roseae-Crucis, nimirum : an sint? quales sint? unde nomen illud sibi asciverint." (without quotation marks) into the box brings up...

Unfortunately I don't actually own the book so I don't know what the proper translation for this is (and my Latin's damn rusty). I guess I should get a start on the next puzzle then...

Nice find Zeph! Is that French or Latin though? Have to keep it there in mind then if it's not allowing us to decrypt it yet.

Maybe we weren't s'posed to?

Also in the letter, 3rd page she mentions 2 other "Netsurfers" JI-Red and Nive Clothing? Maybe look around for them?

Updated Edit:

http://www.jired.com

It's French, it's a Software company and one of its taglines is

Actually... Maybe not. Strange it all seemed to fit and make sense but the whois has them as being created way back in 04. - Although a lot of the links on their site aren't operational and they're both French and English - MAJOR Coincidence perhaps?
