It's not ROT(usually the first thing to check =P).

I assume the asterisks are spaces.

EDIT: Maybe those bolded parts from before are keywords for crypto?

I think the spaces are spaces and the asterisks are supposed to be there for some reason. The reason given for the spaces was that blogger wouldn't display it correctly without them. Confused

I checked ROT also. It's possible it's vignere. I tried the old "theliar" password, but that didn't work. I also tried "twocorpses" and "thecorpse", to no avail. The bolded letters read "nniesingm", by the way, so you don't have to do it yourselves.

[EDIT: Just realized that Rachel was the one to write the bolded letters. She obviously is the one posting, as she's said. How could she have known the passphrase before the game started and she discovered the cipher, unless she's "the seer" but I don't know if they're playing by conventional rules.

I seems it must be rot according to Let the games begin's comment on the blog....
Quote:
The corpse with the stake was rotting. Under it was the word "rot", also in blood. That's all that's there.

It must need to be Rot then skip letters? I can't make anything out of it.

yeah, they made a big deal about the word 'rot' and repeated it various times, so I'm guessing it's a ROT. now to find the displacement number

It has to be. I checked ROT as soon as the code was announced on the forum. Nothing but jibberish. Obviously it's ROT in combination with another code.

Madam, do you mind not quoting the code and putting it all in ONE line? Kind of stretches the page out =P

EDIT: Nevermind, you already did =P

(Back from edit)Other than that, there's not really anything we can do until a) Rabbitwatcher responds or b) they post again.

Methinks we should comment on the page telling them what happened to the others.

We have a problem. That rabbitwatcher person's blog seems to indicate he was trying to solve the problem. He posted in Rachel's comment, saying:

RabbitWatcher wrote:
I've been watching your games for a while now, and I must admit, this one is going to be very interesting. I can't wait to see the conclusion.

EDIT: Madam, methinks he read the first post saying none of the 6 are allowed to any site other than the blog.

And do you believe him?
