Make that ARG and you will be my hero.
Woohoo, fellow fan!
And, yeah, that'd be hawt. You know, they ARE working on new webisodes. We should approach them with the idea ;)

So far, viral or not, this has been a load of fun. Especially the www.muppets.com site. I love Kermit's vlog. Anyone notice that on one of his vlogs, Kermit *kind of* eludes to something coming up soon (possibly movie or TV) but is conveniently interrupted by Miss Piggy before he can reveal anything? Me and my girlfriend are going nuts right now. Luv the muppets!

I am wondering if that is making reference to the new show that just debuted on The Disney Channel - Studio DC: Almost Live.
If featured various stars from Disney Channel Shows (Suite Life of Zack & Code, Hannah Montana) and they did skits that also involved The Muppets. Plus musical performances by Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers *shrug*
It just debuted this past weekend

Possibly, but it could also be that Studio DC: Almost Live was more viral for something...bigger. Something on the scale of..oh, I don't know...the return of The Muppet Show. That would be HUGE and would warrent said Disney Channel special. From what I saw on the muppet wiki, Almost Live was a one-off with the potential for another show in October. That could be just wishful thinking on my part, though.
Oh, and the fact that the muppet.com site is only partially available makes me think there is much more to come.

I want a new Muppet show, dangit! Not a Muppet and Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus show.
Seriously! When this thread started I tore apart the interwebs looking for info, found the Studio DC thing... and then read that Miley Cyrus was involved. Doesn't quite compare to the likes of Steve Martin, John Cleese, Johnny Cash...
Of course, I still downloaded the torrent immediately. The special is supposed to be a way to 'introduce' a new generation to the Muppets. Get 'em hooked. I would hope in anticipation of a new Muppet Show.
But if there is going to be a new Muppet Show, I hope to hell this won't be the format! They already have a generation of rabid fans (Beaker is staring at me from one side of my desk, the Electric Mayhem from the other) who would be so disappointed by this. The thing that made the original work so well was that it played to adults. And was still perfectly appropriate for (and loved by) kids.
Anyhow... the integration of the Muppets into the world of youtube is just brilliant. Along the lines of the Statler and Waldorf's 'From the Balcony'. Webisodes may just be a better way to go.

As much as is it really didn't have to do with the true Muppets I would love a Muppet ARG that included some references to Muppet Treasure Island! Think: the Pirates of the Carribbean games.

this might be completely unrelated, but I heard somewhere Jason Segel is writing a new Muppets movie. it'd be pretty awesome if there was an ARG for it.

If I weren't so paranoid about lawsuits from Disney, I would try to extract them and post them somewhere for you.
