On that pic, the doll type thing tilted to the left (and it definitely is humanoid, u can see the arm and face) reminds me a lot of similar statue type sculptures I found while searching through one of Kat's photography sites. Also, I'm sure the horse "Red Ace" has something to do with something, the ace of hearts perhaps? we have already seen a red heart in the pic, and we have seen the research commenting on animals (including horses) missing organs...such as hearts...i may be forcing these links...but you know the feeling you get when you look at a picture, and think "that means something". I mean the picture where its a sign saying No Tres Passing (mentioned on one site by someone saying why do i always spell that sign wrong (obvious clue that it means something)) turned out to be her password "notrespassing" for metadex...well I got that feeling when looking at the horse called Red Ace, and the sculptures of people. [nevermind] Damned thing is I cant find the pics now, I'm gonna go searching now, ill update if i find them. [/nevermind]

Right got em...theres a few (these are all found on the sites that clicking the photography link on kats bio take u too...every time u refresh its a different site)

sonnys red ace
http://www.pbase.com/image/20468850

(the horse)

no red hunting
http://www.pbase.com/image/22357617

(strange picture)

stanfields wrestlers
http://www.pbase.com/image/13022580

(looks similar to the strange doll thing on the 1st pic, but prolly isnt the same thing)

ovid
http://picture-poems.com/week2/ovid.html
(dunno why im posting this, just seems of interest)

the red trapper
http://www.pbase.com/image/6315947
(another pic based on the colour red, just posting for interest)

notrespassing
http://www.kobotica.com/online/fotodiary/usa/countryside/_gallery/dp022-9426-no-trespassing.html
(example of the notrespassing pics that revealed her password...on almost every site that loads, you will quickly see or find a notrespassing sign, and one which has ppl talking about the bottom making a point about notrespassing)

http://www.kobotica.com/online/fotodiary/usa/countryside/
(this one has pics of horses and cows and that notrespassing sign, this one is weird...because there is literally hundreds of pics, including loads of some weird looking guy...its really hard to tell if any of these sites have been made by the makers of the ARG, or whether they have just linked them to kats bio to show the multiple notrespassing signs...thing is, on the kobotica one, theres a bit where u try to click personal pics, and u need a login and password...not sure if this is part of the game, or someones actual photography site...maybe someone can find out)

anyway, few things to look and think about, XtRaVa

This is kind of a long shot, but...could it have anything to do with the song by the Indigo Girls - Least Complicated?

The song lyrics - warning, pop-ups galore

Beth quotes the song, the band's her password...it's about the "hardest to learn" being the "least complicated". The other parallel is "It's more than just eye to eye learn things I could never apply".

Okay. This is really stretching it, right?

Shocked Wow popup city, you should really put a warning on that link

4 popups and a "do you trust this content" box is a bit much for one page

Oh yeah plus the eleven cookies it left on my PC.

Ahhhh! Sorry! *has pop-up blocker and uses Mozilla*

Um, right...

This should be pop-up free.

New theory

Has anyone thought of this idea brought up in numerous places?
Firstly

Hacker's speaking about a "Labyrinth"
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2938

And More importantly, at the bottom of
http://www.paranormaljournal.org/vol2_4.html#9

"This report examines evidence of the existence of a real-life minotaur, a hideously deformed child of King Minos 2. Recently discovered records indicate that Minos ordered the child locked away from sight in an underground chamber. Our hypothesis concludes that the child possibly suffered from elephantiasis and had horn-like growths near both ears, thus leading to the legend of a bull-headed man. A deformed partial skeleton unearthed in a subterranean chamber in Crete, the location of the legendary labyrinth, lends credence to this hypothesis. "

I'm not sure if this has any significance, but the child in the picture seems to be imitating this image.
Locked away from sight? in the picture the eyes are enclosed in a box?

And the "Skeleton" aspect directly clashes with the image behind the child.

This is only a shot in the dark, but who knows. Anything is useful.

I just wanna throw my 2 cents in. So I will. Hee!

This isn't really anything to do with the posts directly preceeding me here, but I just reviewed this whole thread today... Yes I was bored... and a lot of us are crossing wires trying to get this one solved...

Paintover is (was???) run by Ceasar and our happy hacker krewe. I think the bulk of us are satisfied that Beth, Marcus, Kat and most of the Metacortex characters aren't the hackers: primarily because we have more hacker characters than Metacortex characters, but also because we've seen how both groups communicate, and they don't correlate.

It's a pretty safe bet then, that whatever meaning (if there really is one) that is hiding in the bl##%! October 1 picture is a pointer to an early hacker dialog, (similar to everything we've seen at the Aquapolis, Little Boxes, Metacortechs.com etc...) and is unrelated to Beth and her Metacortex login, Marcus and his, Kat and hers etc etc.

Seeing as the story has progressed so far despite this thorn in our side, the best we can hope for is that this will give us some back story into the group dynamic of Ceasar, Texel, Scratch and co.... I'm not suggesting that we drop the issue, it's become far too annoying now to drop... what we need to do though is remember that the secret to this puzzle, and whatever it is masking is not Beth-related. IMHO, anyway.

You may tie me to a chair and beat me with a hat if I'm wrong. It's happened before (the being wrong, not the chair-tied-hat-beating).

Very Happy Cool

In regards to the comments on this page, go check them again, there is a new one at the top. Wink

Anyone can post there, hehe. Honestly, it is just a real site, not connected with the game.

Trip did add one, I can verify that - it was there last night

so yes it has been removed

But I think trip might have missed the point of the earlier attempts to find a clue.

Yes anyone can add to this, but certainly no-one playing would have done so before we knew KC password.

EDIT: Her BIO was found on the 19th around 8am GMT, and her password 3 hours later. If Flavin WAS a clue you would expect it to be somewhere in the middle, but certainly before we got the answer.

I just posted a message at 12:56 GMT (Hey it's the time over here) to find the timezone of the site and the site shows it as 12:56.

Flavin message was timed at 19.05 a good 8 hours after we found the password so it could well be a player comment.

It's certainly not a clue to the password.

Just to throw something else in the mix that I don't think has been mentioned before, but Lewis Carroll's (who wrote "Alice") real name is Charles Dodgson.

That's funny that they deleted me. <sarcasm>My comment was so witty and photography related!</sarcasm>

So first off, I want to say that I TOTALLY do not believe that what I am about to tell you is game related. I personally believe that the PMs will make sure that all game-related sites will have USH on them. Of course, the PMs seem to link to non-USH sites that may have clues on them, but, I still don't think that this has anything to do with clues.

But, it is still interesting.

So, the site we're talking about is pbase.com. pbase.com is registered to "Chaos Fugue" with an e-mail address of @chaosfugue.org.

If you go to http://chaosfugue.org, there is a link called "gravity simulation." (Here: http://chaosfugue.org/swirl/index.html ). Check it out. It looks remarkably similiar to the WHOMP and TINY FEET images. (Though, not quite similar enough to tell us about the origins of those images.)

Also, another interesting thing, in the bottom left-hand corner of that chaosfugue.org web site, there is a link to a photo gallery called "Gallery23" which is a tribute to the number 23. Some interesting comments there as well.

None of which I think has anything to do with the game. Wink

PBase is definitely NOT a game site. I know several photographers who have their galleries posted there.

Mine got removed too, so they obviously keep an eye on the site.

I think the point was made and we've established that there's nothing more to see here.
