It's Bi66er

The skeleton behind the little girl is BI66ER, the killer robot from second renaissance.

The quote from Alice in Wonderland relates to getting bigger, isn't it?

Eyes bigger? Bigger eyes? I see bigger?

I get the feeling that Beth's password is hidden here somewhere. We should have found it right away.

I really think that this first picture is the key - to what, I'm not sure!

But, I agree with Pallas. Here are my thoughts:

Two or three references to seeing and sight:

1. EYE SEE (could be one or two references)

2. Box aroung little girl's eyes to emphasize her looking at a spot on the coded text.

Three references to getting bigger:

1. The skeleton is B166ER, the first robot to rebel against its masters.

2. The message ALWAYS TO HAVE LESSONS TO LEARN from Alice in Wonderland after she drinks the growth potion (and just before seeing the white rabbit again).

3. I also feel that the highlight of S TO L could mean "Small to Large."

So far I've only tried password attempts on little-boxes.net and with the username Beth. Any ideas of where else to try or other passwords that will work along this line of thought?

little-boxes.net

With the whole BI66ER thing, as well as the S to L (potential) clue, I can't help but wonder if Beth's password is some variation on "bigger boxes." After all, her site is called "little boxes." I've tried a bunch of variations, though, and so far I've gotten nil. Anyone have any theories along this line?

Probably being redundant but what's the complete numbers (since I'm horrible at this math) of the jpgs?

OK, seems that the background, whether a skeleton or whatnot, is very PARANORMAL in nature. Perhaps the answer to this puzzle lies at ParanormalJournal.org?

I've been trying directories, but haven't come up w/ anything.

I checked this and I must say, I can't see the similarity.

Just curious, but were there any missing words in the text on the oct. 1 file?

I know it was encrypted, or whatever, but if there was a missing or replaced word, it might fit the same pattern that the other two have lead us...

ie: 10-11 file.... Missing word: Silvia, person who was quoted, Proteus, image in the background Door....

Those words were used to get into the site... now...

We have a PARANORMAL background, maybe a missing word? And a Girl...

I think you can get an idea of where I'm going with this...

So, any missing/replaced words?

One of the problems here is that someone made a breakthrough and each subsequent mention has quoted the previous reference (like the B166ER comparison). Without going back to the source, we end up playing Chinese whispers.

For instance I notice the recurring use of "windings" to describe the font, which I beleive refers to the "Wingdings" font. If one typo can be carried through, could there be others?

I keep meaning to go back and recheck the working on this one, perhaps now is the time.
Very Happy

UPDATE

This post seems to be from the time the line was found.

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=18549&highlight=always+lessons+learn#18549

It suggests the puzzle was solved not by translation, but by cryptography, and the font was NOT identified.

Please post details if you know otherwise.

I have been trying to determine how we arrived at the Alice in Wonderland quote for ages... I've asked several times, and the only answer I got was "it's Windings / Wingdings". It's not one of the three standard Wingdings fonts that come with Windows, but someone told me "there are tons of them and it's one of those". Noone can tell me which one though.

The original post of Sapagoo, here, mentions he "converted it to a cryptogram" and then came up with the Alice text. I have no idea what that process is, so I'm still very curious to find out...

Looks like we found it at the same time Smile

Wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if the name of the font WAS relevant to the solution, and it either never got found (because the cryptography found a suitable match) or it's name was forgotted as the "important" (SIC) part of the message was spread.

I think he just mentally figured it out thinking it was cryptogram-like (just like the Futurama messages). Figuring each symbol was a letter...guessing the two letter words were maybe "TO" then just working the rest out from there. Looks to have worked to me.

Can someone re-post the original picture with the little girl, or provide a link to it somewhere. Can't seem to find it anywhere, thanks. Confused

You'll find it on Little-boxes.net. Just browse between the pics using the strange-looking arrow-figure!
