What were the Futurama cryptograms? Is that from this, or another ARG?

Sapagoo PM'ed me how he discovered it. It was done by replacing the symbols with letters, and then trying to solve it as a cryptogram using this site.

It doesnt seem to give any other solution that the Alice quote, assuming the last symbol is indeed an exclamation mark.

Anyone think that the focus on S to L is a hint for the mlo passwd

login = small mlo

passwd use Large MLO

?

I dunno... there's nothing about STOL that indicates uppercase. It is stol and StoL and sTOl....

Unless you're thinking S = small, and L = large... therefore Small to Large... but I still don't think so...

Good guess, though.
What I'm saying is that the pic doesn't specify case at all.

I think he's talking about the "Small to Large" theory...

Imho there is no realation whatsoever between pictures posted at caesar's personal page (which paintover.net apparently is) and Marcus Ormond, and at least it was never in any way deducted that the october 1 picture related to Metadex, so I doubt Moatie's theory.

Besides, seeing that they are initials, it would be quite natural to spell them uppercase. (I know they are in lower case on the Metadex page, but there they are not presented as initials but as a username).

okay, so this picture is driving me batty, after looking at this picture until I felt like I was about to have by brain explode, I came up with a couple ideas that havn't been mentioned, Not sure if they'll help, or if I'm just straining myself too hard..

The small to large theory to me doesn't seem to relate directly to MLO's password.

After about 20 minutes I started thinking the skeleton type thing was actually a breakdancer.. since the object appears to be in a propper up position. Yeah, definitly losing my mind..

Misc ideas about girl:
innocence
sight
looking towards

Misc ideas about thingy in background:
skeleton (like everyone else)
death
spirit
breakdancer
soul

Misc ideas about red thingy:
mouth - (A close up of a older persons mouth... sorta like the cigarette smoking/cancer man on the x-files.. )

Relationships between thingies:
Innocence looking past death towards lost/lots words
Don't look back, see lots/lost words

...
Yeah, doesnt make any sense..
:-/

also, why is the item on the right hand side so odd, it looks like someone went nuts with the stamp tool or something.. Why is that wall, object, whatever like that, why is it there at all, if its just there to show the angle of the skeleton type object, why is there the triangular gap..

I'm fairly convinced that a previous explanation fits this.

It looks a lot like the top of a chess piece, a red chess piece.

An important Red Chess Piece not unrelated to "Alice in Wonderland" Wink

Hm... the Jefferson Airplane song is rattling around in my head... something about one pill makes you larger, no?

Quote:

One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you, don't do anything at all
<snip>
When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead
And the white knight is talking backwards
And the red queen's off with her head
Remember what the dormouse said
Feed your head, feed your head

Hrm.

hey, new here at UNfiction... been around other Matrix forums for a while though.

this pictures been bothering me as well, but something just hit me as i was reading this final page of the thread.

What if there is no clue? what if we've already gotten what we need out of it, we just dont realize it, yet?

i've been saying from the beginning that i think STOL should read LOTS, not STOL. for one, it's our natural reaction(at least where i live) to read from top to bottom. the quote reads from bottom to top. if you were to read it as you're supposed to, it would read STOL. however, if you were to read it as you would anything else, or even if you were to "View it from the top" like the stegged picture of the file cabinet said... it would read "LOTS".

i'll get to my point, hang on Razz

eye see. combine this with LOTS, and you get, "I see lots". i never even realized it until now, but i think this picture is just a readying image. telling us that they see lots, and we will too. it's kind of hard to explain how im saying this on here from how i am in my mind... basically, we're going to see a lot more than meets the eye. i think there is no clue other than what we've already seen. as quickly as the other photos have been discovered, this one should've been easy.

the only thing i cant explain is the ghostly image interlaced over the little girl.

I see lots...of dead people! Yes, this is a clue that Beth is actually a ghost, and *that's* why she's interested in the paranormal and is seeing James Avery everywhere (who, of course, is also a ghost!). Yay...I solved it, game over. Very Happy What do I win?

Mmmh very interesting... a child telling us "i see dead people" and we try to understand... maybe at the end of the game we'll realize WE are dead people too. I think M. Night Shamalyan is behind this ARG and paranormal anomalies from little-boxes.net are Signs of alien visiting us.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
James Avery = Bruce Willis

Oh shit i'm in the wrong movie !

Actually, to me,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
James Avery looks a little like.... Harrison Ford.

Was thinking again about this picture on the way home. Hasn't every one of the paintover pictures been a clue to more images in hidden directories? Wouldn't it be logical to assume that this one was also pointing to such a directory?

At the time of release, the only websites we had were the Metacortechs site, Metadex.net, little-boxes.net, paranormaljournal.com, theaquapolis.com, underscorehosting.com, heismissing.info and sheismissing.info. So, we've just found the Unjust files at Underscore Hosting, and hidden directories have been found at the Aquapolis site, little-boxes.net, plus some more recently at Wongmo, correct?

That would leave Metacortechs, Metadex and Paranormal Journal as original sites at which we haven't discovered any hidden directories. I wouldn't think that we would find any at the first two, as "corporate" sites with (hopefully) good security...

Has anyone tried to find hidden directories at Paranormal Journal? I'm off to do so, but wanted to bring this up in case anyone can think of what else those directories might be named.

(Hm, now that I think of it, maybe the Oct. 9 pictures don't point anywhere.... Grrr.)

Edit:
OK, I tried: lost, lots, stol, redqueen, whiterabbit, skeleton, white, red, iclots, rabbitears, lessons, learn, queen, rabbit, keen, ken, knee, tsol, otsl, ostl, olts, olst, stole, skull, ic -- even STOL, LOTS, LOST, in case directories are case sensitive.

If one exists, it's beyond my obviously limited intellect to noodle it out...
