After searching for Big Kahuna Burgers, it's apparently a Quentin Tarantino easter egg. Samuel L. Jackson says, "That is a tasty burger" in Pulp Fiction, and the Big Kahuna Burgers have been mentioned in a few of his other films as well.

Anyone read the descriptions when you click on the 'certified official website' images? Razz Unrelated to the game, but still rather amusing. ^_^

Yup. Like I said, that's what got it for me. So then we've confirmed that this is an in game site? (and yeah, I remember that scene, though I don't remember more than like 10 minutes of the entire movie. Ironic, huh?)

The whois lists it as created in 2002 and last updated in 2007. Seems we just have an amusing little coincidence. Back to the drawing board... wish I could catch Quist or Nick on gchat sometime soon.

Well, Quist seems to be gone, but keep trying for Nick.

But it seems odd that THIS particular site has a mention to a fictional town.

EDIT: This seems interesting. http://www.negativespace.net/gusto/archives/003125.html

I saw that as well and thought it might be something. Not sure... if it's ingame, it's not related to any characters we already know. Nicklas and his dad are from London.

Gah! So many fictional stories about this town, and yet it is in no way, real.

I've just been passively following this thread, but a few things popped out at me from the emails and chats from Nicklas (bolding mine):
Quote:
I grew up in London, then we moved away a couple years back, and now that I'm getting ready for college I'm living in a little apartment back home.

Quote:
Nicklas: i need to take a tylenol

Could just be an American PM (hey, no one's perfect), or it could mean that Niklas has some American ties (perhaps that's what he means by "moved away a couple years back"?). I wouldn't rule anything out just because it refers to Americans, at any rate.

Edit: Most likely not English.

Quote:
Since my mom has been gone all my life, and I've never really made friends much, my dad's always been there for me.

Quote:
My tax dollars go to the upkeep of these places, can't i make them pretty?

On the other hand:
Quote:
oh bugger I have to go, look, I'll catch you later and we can talk some more alright?

Confused

Good find, Zep. Didn't notice that at all.

Good point, Zep.. One other thing I noticed is he didn't account for the time difference. The night we chatted, he said something about how he 'wouldn't be sleeping' tonight. It was something like 11 PM here, which is CST. It would've been 5 in the morning in London, but he spoke as though he were on a US time. Probably just small things that were overlooked, but my guess is an American PM playing English.

Edit:
Got a new email from Nick and the fenestra site's been updated. One of the E's now links to a site with a symbol that I'm guessing represents Elbrahim. The email from Nick isn't of much consequence, but I figured I'd post it anyway. It's just his response to me telling him the hidden stuff on the fenestra site.

The email:
Quote:
Wow, I didn't notice any of that. Maybe you're really cut out for this stuff!
Sorry my emails have been a bit short lately, I'm still trying to get over... you know.

Annnd there's a hidden quote in the source of the new page:
Quote:
"In Elbrahim we rest all hopes of ever discovering the secrets of what lies above and what lies beneath; of the two levels within what we know."
-Egdrish, "Mei Gnaritas," 1823 translation

New update to the site this morning. The G now links to a plain page with

Quote:
CUARJEUAZXAYZYUSKUTKCNUCUARJT'ZZKRREUAGTEZNOTM?

SGJKNAMKIRGOSYCOZNTUVXUUL?

LURRUCKJKTJRKYYIRAKYZUTUUAZIUSK?

TKGXRECUXYNOVKJZNKXGSHROTMYULGTGTIOKTZVXOKYZ?

in black text. The source doesn't have anything new, quote-wise.

Translates to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ROT-20: WOULD YOU TRUST SOMEONE WHO WOULDN'T TELL YOU ANYTHING? MADE HUGE CLAIMS WITH NO PROOF? FOLLOWED ENDLESS CLUES TO NO OUTCOME? NEARLY WORSHIPED THE RAMBLINGS OF AN ANCIENT PRIEST?

Seems the ROT-6 mention in the source is just to throw us off?

ROT6 is the inverse of ROT20; you would use ROT6 to encode, then ROT20 to decode.

Hmm. Using logic, that would make Egdrish the ancient priest.
