[TRAILHEAD?] You, Me, the End. I have no name. I'm sixteen years old. And I see the world coming to an end. For the most part, the videos here have been pretty normal (like a years worth of normal vids), but recently some new vids containing some cryptic information have cropped up, and I'm not quite sure if this is a trailhead or not.
Athenewins youtube channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/AtheneWins
An introduction:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfWlF31newY
General observations: A baby can be heard crying towards the end of the video; an apple bobs around in a bucket of liquid.
Event 2:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJB_mnu7wVc
General observations: We get a clear shot of what the apple inside the bucket truly is (toy apple), and it bobs up and down at an exaggerated rate; the first time we see the girl laying on the bed, the colour is warm and full, but when we cut back and see her laying there again, the colour is now desaturated and flat (cold looking).
Things just keep becoming more interesting...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_JnYMkB2AE
The most recent development:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt35xxzatp8
You're going to want to watch that one in high quality mode to make out the text.
I'm going to keep watching this one, as the frequency of these types of videos is starting to increase.
Additions:
Things I've noticed in the latest video:
-21 seconds - front text - first line: THE CORPORATION RBEUL-------
-21 seconds - front text - second line: Data traffic 50%(?) Optimal ----
-21 seconds - back text - first line: PUBLIC---- YOU---- ?????
-21 seconds - back text - second line: ?????????????? TODAY
-Pause at 19 seconds in, and you'll see something that appears to be a red doorway
-27 seconds - start of long text (edited, found the complete text online):
C. Koch & G. Laurent wrote:
"A positive correlation between complexity, as measured across large neuronal ensembles over a fraction of a second or longer, and consciousness is not implausible. Alternatively, it is at this time equally plausible that consciousness arises out of a novel feature of certain types of brains, some cellular or circuit property with a unique molecular, anatomical, or physiological signature. Only time will tell if and how the mind arises out of 'complex' brains."
C. Koch and G. Laurent: Complexity and the nervous system. Science 284 (2 Apr 99): 96.
This was part of a longer text. The complete writing can be found here (NOTE: I'd hold off e-mailing either one of these guys, until we know whether or not this is part of the game, assuming all of this actually is a game):
http://cogweb.ucla.edu/Abstracts/Koch_99.html
-32 seconds - the red door can again be seen.

wikipedia wrote:
Neuropsychiatry is the branch of medicine dealing with mental disorders attributable to diseases of the nervous system. It preceded the current disciplines of psychiatry and neurology, in as much as psychiatrists and neurologists had a common training (Yodofsky and Hales, 2002). However, neurology and psychiatry subsequently split apart and are typically practised separately. Nevertheless, neuropsychiatry has become a growing subspecialty of psychiatry and it is also closely related to the field of Behavioral Neurology, which is a subspecialty of Neurology that addresses clinical problems of cognition and/or behavior caused by brain injury or brain disease. 'Behavioral Neurology / Neuropsychiatry' fellowships are jointly accredited through the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS), in a manner similar to how the specialties of psychiatry and neurology in the United States have a joint board for accredidation, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

Well, that's all I can do for now, but I'll continue to try and help the best I can (this would be my first ARG!! XD)

Perhaps they wanted to make an established account that's been around for a long period, and that was part of their rouse the entire time...but that just seems doubtful to me.

What better way to let people know about a particular product, movie, service, etc then to work their ranks up on Youtube then start a game? ;P

The reasoning for the account being so popular (at least partially) is that Athene is somewhat famous among the gaming community for breaking world records in powerleveling characters in World of Warcraft. He currently holds the record for fastest time from 1-70, and is likely to go unbeaten as the method he used was patched so that it can't be used anymore. He also bills himself as the best paladin in the game and other various things... Also his account is likely famous because his girlfriend acts out the soft-core porn tease routine for all the lonely single gamers that tune into Athene's WoW movies.
As for this being a game, I would suspect that if it is, its simply some sort of side project he is working on, likely while waiting until the next WoW expansion is released

Your whole post just made me sad.
Sad... and laughing uncontrollably too. I almost spit out a mouthful of iced tea onto my computer.

Why would it make you 'sad'? And laughing uncontrollably?
I'm miffed but it seems like you're calling the guy 'lame' for knowing all this info or the same for Athene for being such a gamerhead but... Yet, what are we all doing here? - Pretty much the same thing
If that wasn't the intentions, I apologise for debating it but yeah lol.
I'll check this out.
Edit: Oh yeah and sidenote: That chick has the exact same wardrobes as me ROTFLMAO!

***DISCLAIMER: The following is my opinion, not trying to start an arguement, just making a commentary on current culture from my point of view.***
In a nutshell:
I find it sad that someone is essentially famous for repeating a game so many times that he has "perfected" a repetitive, formulaic way of "beating" it. At that point he is no longer playing the game, he's just running on habitual motion. What's even worse is this: http://athene.movielol.org/record.php
He spent almost 2 days playing World of Warcraft. What does he do for work? Sell his characters? The idea that people will pay $100+ for a character that is already to the point where you can't do anything more with it is insane. (See: http://www.playerauctions.com/shop/Buy-WoW-Account-3000010-.aspx )
Then there's the issue of the girlfriend doing soft-core shows. If that doesn't pop up as sad to you, we're just not on the same page.

No offence, but... Says who?
The "Introduction" Was only posted last week. It seems extremely ARGish to me; this is neither an is, or isn't just yet.
Just because the guy has had a Youtube account for ages and is quite "E-Popular" for whatever reasons it doesn't mean that he hasn't suddenly had the idea of starting off an ARG... His timeline on YT detracts from nothing.
