blind transits been plugged to the oafs?

then he mentions blindly, we gotta climb the stairs carefully...

has their ftp site been 'plugged to the oafs'... i.e. us 'oafs' have plugged into it a lot and screwed it all up?

so someone is alerted tot heir presence on this ftp, and now they must carefully climb back to 'top' (of the world?) to meet again...

so after this hack mision they all met for on the 5th, somethin went down, their blind transit has been plugged, and now they got their next 'mission' card? (i can only assume thats what these paintover.net's are)

I can confirm it too. It's real (unless the "Hide and Seek" program is fixed...)

well I just figured that they might use the same way of communicating until they realized it had been compromised. Thought we might get more info out of them. If they are really playing this the way they should though, they should change their plans based on what we're posting

It was registered may 8th. Probably out of game.

EDIT: Usualy the way ARGs are played is that people can team up and all and are "safe". They don't change the story if you talk to other people/post unless something is going wrong. These boards should be a safe zone to talk without messing up the game.

But couldn't it be used for references from within the game?

hackandslash.org

http://www.hackandslash.org/wiki/index.php?WallopsAbuse
Code:
WallopsAbuse

Using Wallops or Wallusers to post irrelevant content. Usually considered good fun by all, including ScriptKiddies who think it's great to DistributedDenialOfService? something or someone. Not many people WallopsAbuse these days.

WallopsAbuse used to be done a lot by new opers as an exercise of their new found powers. This is especially true as you only need to be a local oper to wallops. It's usually frowned upon by older opers.

http://www.hackandslash.org/wiki/index.php?ScriptKiddies
Code:
ScriptKiddies

A script kiddie is a person who has no natural talent for abuse other than a deficient personality. Script kiddies get their names by the collection of young users who use pre written scripts to attack other people with no concept of what the script is doing, other than it feeds their ego as the other person is disconnected.

Both are mentioned in "carelessly.kbp"

Coincidence? Possibly. But certainly not worth eliminating yet

EDIT: Jumbled order

Theories

Slight change in plans. <- pretty obvious...we all found their little get-together, they need to find another way to talk.

Second verse, same as the first. <- we're going to do the same thing at a different place??? Doesn't the rest of that go "a little bit louder and a little bit worse"?

The blind transit's been plugged to the oafs <- WTF is the blind transit? plugged to the oafs...we must be the oafs (script kiddies?). Is the blind transit the FTP? Must be...can't see the carelessly files...just need to know the extensions. Were we maybe supposed to know which extensions to use BTW?

Let's view it from the top <- ok...top of? directory structure? mount stamp?

Blindly, still, but climb those stairs carefully <- perhaps the new FTP or whatever will have files named carefully??? I guess it could be saying "the files still won't be listed, but be more careful anyway"

dub dub dub, hack and slash <- a clue as to where to FTP to or look? dub dub dub is either www or knighting, as someone suggested I'm going with WWW. telling us to look on WWW not FTP?

You'll find the way! <- confidence in his fellow hackers?

-c.

poisoneye, i like your ideas on the blind transit.. seems you got it up til then, we found out , the need to move..

take it from the top.... that would be Metacortex, to us at least right? from the top, i.e. the beginning...?

so.. lets take it from metacortex!

i think they told us *(brut-us) to brute them, but this time we need to be more careful, ... maybe they're named careful, but i see no 'reason' why the extensions would be diff...

so on this new www... maybe metacortex? ... we're looking for the same 14 extensions/hackers..?

I would imagine Blind transit refers to the fact we had to dl those files blind - no directories etc.

Climbing stairs could be an indication that this time they'll be using sub-directories. We might have to (blindly) find a sequence of directories and subdirectories.

And we'd obviosly have to approach this differently as the permutations for attempting to brute a directory structure are almosty infinate
