Ok, just got back from the talk and book signing Smile

Here's what Charlie Higson had to say about the game:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The Shadow War was his working title for By Royal Command.

The game takes you through an alternate look at the events of all the books in the Young Bond series, from SilverFin through to By Royal Command.

There's a code hidden in each book, 20 copies of the book have a different code that is needed to complete the game. The idea is to go online and share this info with other readers.

Charlie Higson will be acting as a "gamesmaster" for a big final battle of some sort (he made it sound a lot more exciting than ARGN did!)

Here's a photo of the page from the book about the game:

I'm in. Just call me Pancitovich... Technically that's Pancito Pancitovich, but since you're all my close friends...

ETA: Oh crap. "But do not tell anyone or we will have to execute you."

I finished the mission, but I can't hand it in to SIS, only OGPU. Seems nobody wants to be a communist these days.

Walkthrough:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You've arrived in Keithly, congratulations. Luckily for you, the OGPU and SIS have the same mission(s). Since you're reading this, I doubt you'll want to go through all of the exploration, and if you do, I'll make 1 step at a time spoilers. Basically, press the ornithology poster. Last name: Carmichael. First name: Robin. Town: New York. Distinguishing feature: Frickin' eye patch. He got his eye pecked out by a wood pecker, and so he killed and stuffed it, lol. Organization: Royal Ornithology Club. Specialization: Bananaquits. Club stamp: First picture. To put in the club stamp, just press the bottom of the circles in the passport/member thingy(The one that says for official use). Read the minutes if you're bored, then press the telegram. Press the third of the 3 different telegrams. It takes you to whichever faction you applied for first, but this can be altered easily. simply replace the letters before the youngbondshadowwar part of the URL with the other faction.

1 step at a time, for those who only need slight help.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. You need to know what information to get; press the ornithology poster.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
2. Now that you know, open Notepad, and go to the post office.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
3. You should realize that the name of the person you want to be is ON the Ornithology club poster.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
4. Read through the letters to see what his specialty is, his distinguished feature, and his town.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
5. Got it? Now go back to the civic club thing and enter it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
6. If it doesn't work for you, as in you can't get in, you most likely forgot the club stamp. That's the circle that says to be used for official purposes.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
7. Please don't be color blind. Or at least underlined letters blind. Your link for where to go is at the bottom of the minutes, which are absolutely the most retarded ever.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
8. Hmm....Which one of the three telegrams is a hyperlink? Can you guess, children?

Congratulations, you have completed the mission.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
fill in the passport other than the name
so can't get past that page.

Pretty simple mission, but then I gues this is really for kids... Confused
