OK i've been biting my lip on this for a while, but here's a radical suggestion: how about we DON'T vote for Hale this week????

Its clear everyone is expecting it, its clear they are setting up the "progress" so as to potentially work on Hale, and its clear alot of people here are also voting for him - so lets throw a curveball and vote either Gennaro or Danby!

I'm posting this on UnFiction, SHH! and MyResistance. lets get this going!

Why is it that people ALWAYS say these things after I voted?.......*Grumble*......Back to PA.com then.....

I voted for Gennaro, same as I did last week. I don't think it'll be as much fun to vote Hale yet, but I didn't expect to be able to convince the masses of that.

They may throw us a curveball though. What if Hale is taken out of the running? Then our second place choice goes through. I still don't want Danby to die, so I'm hoping to see Gennaro move up in the poll...

I voted for Gennaro.

Another question (I am reading the files now properly after failing the code thing lol):

In the telecorrespondence file nv92374a3 they say that Khanner received the related file the 11/28/50 .... that means... today? Has he received that file then? Or do we have to look for the file? I mean, I know there's another code at the end of that file, which is the one that lead you to the mystery of the week... but is this the doc they are talking about? Or do we have to look for another one? Maybe one where we use his clearance code? ....

EDIT> Thanks for the translation!

2nd edit> OMG! I have just realised that I sent the code wrong!!!! Lol I read a "g" when it was a "q" ... argh!!!!

Been lurking since pretty much the beginning. Had a hard time keeping up at work, but last couple days have been slow. Anyway, finally have something to pipe in with. Nothing earth-shattering though:

Exact phrase is "YOU RECEIVED DOC REF ON 11 28 50". In game-time, that's today. So how come it's in past tense, even though the paper looks aged & worn?

Voted for Gennaro. Gambling analogy's getting old and since we know the serum works on Hale since he adapts to the Chimeran virus in R:FOM 1, I think we'll learn more of what's going on in the world of the game if we throw someone else under the bus.

So, I figured out the most likely Ipswich and Darwin and wanted to put the coords into the "LATLONDB" page, but I can't get it to jump to that other cursor,a nd when I try on the top cursor I get the error text in the terminal. Was hoping that wasn't just me, but I see it is... Anybody else have problems with that? Been playing just about the beginning, never done one of these things before, it's kind of addictive.

Gotta agree we should not vote for Hale, but I think Cassie might freak if it's Gennaro too. The only thing that might save her if it is Hale is that he's possibly immune, and may not have any major reaction at all... Friday'd be real interesting though...

Oh, and in military speak "you received doc ref on 11/28/50" basically just says that piece of correspondence arrived today... I think that's why it's in his file but not his personal effects picture. The bottom of that correspondence says to ref the LL doc....

I had this same problem. I ended up having to close down SRPAnet and bring it back up, log back in as howardp and then bring up latlondb again. Then I was able to be on the right cursor.

it seems they're pretty region sensitive - click on the line that the lat/long entry is to be entered, then typing will work. Anywhere else and it won't. I'm in the habit of doing the same with the terminal prompt, just to be safe... but I find if you do sit for too long after you've 'logged in', your session will end, and you won't be able to get secure files again. That's usually when I can't get things working again and refresh Razz

That answers a question I had.......don't sit for too long.

Me neither. I get "Connection Error. Please Check Video URL." Tried both through video player and clicking on the tape or whatever in his file.

Just checked, same error over here.

Thanks guys, had to refresh and click around a couple times, but I got through the latlondb and found the number, probably too late, but I submitted it. --Sidenote, I saw some of you talking about how the same e-mail gve you an already registered e-mail message. I've used the same e-mail and it just says "thanks for the tip" or whatever.

Risking a trouting here, but nobody seems to have mentioned or posted here or on the wiki that a photo of Khaner comes up when you type "get khgsrpa44397" (from nv92374a2).

Ozerov's letter to Walter

Though we got the document control number, I feel like there isn't the usual flood of new info, pics, etc. that usually comes with it. What's new here? The Chimera first invaded Russia in 1908? All of Russia/Europe is gone? Kinda pales in comparison to the coasts being toast and the Liberty Defense Towers.

I'm wondering about Ozerov's letter to "Walter." He talks about translation a lot. Makes sense, I guess, since as U.S. Intel and his Russian heritage, he was likely a translater, but it struck me as a bit similar to Philip Howard's "read between the lines" letter (part of the bible puzzle). Also, do we have any idea who this Walter is? Aside from a translator of German military strategists? Anyone familiar with Puskin? Browsed his wikipedia entry, and got nothing that seemed to help - just a lot of similarities to Ozerov and the R2 ARG - exiled Russian, love of language, revolutionary (or adopted by revolutionaries). Also (though, I think this is a stretch, probably just using literature to deepen the experience), in CommanderHolidays the general quotes Milton. Any connection between Milton and Pushkin???

Lastly, just a funky oddity for me: when I downloaded the pdf of LDP313619PM, the Assoc. Doc number is not on it! (I know, welcome to last week.) Anybody else get that???
