following AUZ505's method, the math comes out to 1600.5, so 4:00pm?

I assume there was some chat that I missed.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I am assuming that y1 is the 3x3 grid in the upper left and y2 is the 3x3 grid below it by following the arrows. b1 is the grid in the middle and g1 is the same grid as y2. Is that what everyone else got?

Not the way I was guessing. I assumed that y1 is the yellow "1" at 3,1., y2 is the next yellow box in the sequence - the one at 2,2,.

I kind of figured since we have y 1,2,3 and 4 and four 3x3 grids with yellow squares (same with blue and green) that maybe we take the sum of the grids in the order that the arrows go we get our solution. I just got started so I haven't even solved the sodoku yet.

Following the 'only four' method we get 2:30.
The problem with the "more than four" method now is the blue "3" at 5,6 - it has two arrows coming out of it. It's no long a clean sequential roll up.
It does feel like we're missing something, however - the "..." bother me as well

Not sure if it is updated again, but for me there is a clean sequence for blue:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If I am correct, the blue sequence is: 943323289
Which would lead to: ((((9+4)*3+3)*2+3)*2+8 )*9 = 1638
Green and yellow remain unchanged:
Time = (1635+1638)/2 - 36 = 1600,5 = 4pm ?
like grumpyboy already calculated.

I'd like to point out the obvious (not that it will help) but the yellow and blue squares make a nice "13" for us. Also, the page source says !-- follow the directions --
The problem I see with using the ellipsis as a cue to repeat the formula is that we can't fully complete the formula the second time around with the amount of numbers we have. I think we need definite values for y1, y2, y3 and so forth. I'm just not sure yet how to get them.

If anything about the sudoku should change, again.
Here's a spreadsheet that does all the calcs.

Anyone can edit it.
If the order changes, just tweak the affected formulas in the middle grid.

Crud. Well, whenever the drop is, I'm not going to be able to make it.
Stupid work makes Homer something, something.
Is there anybody that is actually going to be making it to the drop site?

Since we don't know for sure, I guess somebody will just have to be there for 24 hours straight.

From the Q&A
Quote:
Q: The target area on the map seemed rather large. Are we looking for a specific point, or do we need to do an exhaustive search?
A: Be a pirate.
Edit: does anyone have a direct link to the map? I don't have it archived, and it's not linked on the main site any longer

But hey, I just typed "pirate" into the "Search Nearby" feature. Maybe it's something less literal.
Also, the sudoku is making me feel very stupid. I used to think I was good at them. o_O

If we were just looking at a dot I'd say this is a winner, but I think we have to assume the blue outlined area is outlined for a reason, and that's the boundaries we need to search within...
