it actually looks pretty real to me. there were some articles on technorati and other places saying that the organization has been planning this for 3 years now. Looks more like a retarded idea than a trailhead to me.

That may be true, but the wiki is less then a week old, other threads I've found aren't that old anyway. If they were attempting this for so long, it would have hit major news media. I'll have to keep an eye on this. Might be of some interest.

Central Park Airport? That's crazy, a terrorist or an amature pilot could fly a plane right into the Empire State Building. I mean, look at the landing and takeoff approach. Plus, think of all that sound pollution the people have to put up with, and the JFK airport's just a few miles away.
I suppose if it IS a real ARG, then the player will be a part of some group that's trying to stop them from building over the park.

ARG or real, it will never happen. The area surrounding Central Park is prime real estate. If normal people in residential neighborhoods can keep a Wal-Mart from going up, just imagine what the extremely wealthy and well lawyered socialites of New York can do.

So I vote ARG, or some extremely misguided person's pipe-dream. Laughing
