[R2] New Call from Cassie (8/14/2008) I just got another call from Cassie. She's worried about Hale being selected, talks about how no one is safe in Project Abraham. And pleads for us all to go vote.
I didn't get a recording, but hopefully one of you will be prepared for it now!

She knew there were no guarantees when she put the burden on us to choose who gets injected.

It doesn't even seem to be us choosing. Notice that every week until this one, they tell us who is "optimal for injection"? And the person who is optimal is always chosen. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm thinking that too. It seems that whoever ends up winning, always wins by a very large margin. As soon as voting opened, Hale was at 76%. I kept going in and voting for Gennaro (must have done it about 30 times), and the percentage never changed.

Hale is now at 75, so it does change.

It may register IP addresses, so that multiple votes don't count.

Cassie received a letter saying Gennaro was optimum on November 14th (July 29th realworld time), but he's yet to be chosen. Hale's eligibility letter doesn't say that he's optimum, only that he's eligible and has been added to the pool. Same with Brown, just that he was one of the three eligible. Khaner's the only one who was deemed optimum that "we" have selected.
I noticed that when I voted for Genarro, he went from 9% to 10%. Now he's at 14% Also, the amount of time between a candidate being selected and actually injected could be used to argue for our votes actually making a difference - they need that much time to shoot the proper video and/or ready the proper articles, pictures, letters, puzzles, etc.
Not that any of those points conclusively prove anything. And not that I'm convinced either way, just playing devil's advocate.

That's quite the possibly. That would prevent people from stuffing the ballot box.

Thanks smartsmart! Though I think it cuts off the beginning. File starts with "and everyone like you"
That's not just me getting that, is it?

I need to talk to somebody. Please to listen to me. I know you're a total stranger, but you and everyone like you - you've gotten me through this nightmare. It's weird, huh. It's just getting worse though. This week Nathan Hale is on the list. He has never been up for injection before. I, I started to think he was safe. That he wouldn't die, that he could protect... this is Project Abraham - nobody is safe, and nobody can protect anybody else. But, maybe you can. Every week the injections are supposed to get a little better, a little safer, a little closer to the cure. So it's time. If you haven't voted yet, please go now. The Men - the men are counting on you.

The particular line "If you haven't voted yet" seems to go along with the 1 vote per IP.

I agree. I have suspected for a while that the voting results seem to be "preset" by the PM's to the point that we don't really have much of a say in how voting turns out. I was thinking the results would have been much closer each week.
