Here'w what I think it could mean.

The 5th, 1st, etc. refer to the letters of the clues for each episode. He said to skip the first, so the 5th letter of the 1st clue (television) is "V." If we do that for all 12 episodes (following his directions to count spaces and punctuation), we get vongeyelnail. Behind him it said eye=I, so it becomes vongIlnail. What does that mean? I don't know.
