Big thanks to Lehall for coming up with the content of the Olympic Secrets website, and for the team in the irc channel for getting this all polished and sorted!

Now to wait for a response!

Not sure where the TURL is supposed to go, but I'm getting a page timeout error when I try to follow it.. is that a link directly to the YouTube Video?

Might be a TinyURL outage, as another TURL I just went to also got a page not loading...

Hmm... it's working for me now - is anyone else having troubles with it?

Would be a bummer for all that effort to lead to a bung link!

Weezel - it was quite a deja vu to be putting that stuff together again. The La Sekto project is one of my favourite memories from the past 6 months. Very Happy

Thermantia's email to Meihui:

Quote:

Thermantia

And the translation according to a friend:

Quote:
i just saw what you posted.... i already saw 28th something and i also am fairly certain that the plans we made to go home are impossible to go through with.

i have already reported to my boss Theo all the relevant information, and all the people in our group are, because of the loss of the ring, very happy.

because of all this, i guess you will return to ny right? this way perhaps i can really make friends, or perhaps we can go hang out together, drink coffee.

经典第二十八张 is "Codex the 28th sheet".
遗失的圆环 is "Lost ring".

And I think 而我也很确定我们知前所计画的回家旅成可能无法进行了 is "I am also very certain that the plan of going home we knew has become impossible to go through", although I'm not so familiar with Chinese.

Re: SILENCE
silence ... silence ... silence ... silence ...

Is it just me, or has no one heard anything vital from our team in Beijing (apart from Diego's letter regarding the Thermantia mission)? No additional mails, no new videos, no photos, no blog entries. What will happen next?

I got a text message from Larissa this morning -- 8:50 p.m. Beijing time, I think -- but somehow I doubt it had much to do with any TheO plot.

(At the time, the United States was ahead 43-31, with 2:49 left in the second quarter.)

Could this be the 28th Chapter?

Because, um, the chapters of the Codex we know about only go up to 27...

Yes, it should be. 经典 is Codex, I'm now sure.
To my memory, the fake Couberteam document was called Ch.28.

To my memory, the fake Couberteam document was called Ch.28.

It was. . . at least in the planning stages. Tenchizard typed an "artifake" that was handed off to the TheO agent, but I don't know, and can't tell from his photo of it, whether it had a chapter number in the title or not.

So my memory might have been wrong ... TheO might have recognized it as the 28th sheet of Codex by themselves.

I'm not trying to suggest that your memory is wrong. I couldn't remember myself, so I tried looking at the photos and then couldn't tell for certain.

Either way, Thermantia's response sounds makes it sound like she thinks the desync labyrinth was a real ritual from the time of the codex-writing team, maybe? And if so, she feel sure it will stop the current travelers from being able to leave?

If that's the case, the deception worked and TheO will not feel the need to act against the agonothetai at this point. Not sure how this helps Larissa and Renata, though. But I never was sure why Renata needed help- other than as a reason to film the fake ritual.

I am glad they filmed it, for whatever reason! Very Happy It looks like a group hug at the end, which makes me laugh because that end part represents the sudden continental shift disaster we're working to avoid!

Yes, that's what I wanted to say.

You can find the words 经典 and 遗失圆环 in Meihui's blog titles:

Yay! I'm relieved to hear that it worked. (And doesn't that mean that Larissa might have a chance of meeting Renata again?)

EDIT: Video for the Beijing Omphalabyrinth is online!

"Its little blinky red light of doom" - seldom has "the trackstick experience" been characterized more aptly ...

PS Markus sounds almost a little Bavarian there (5:48s)
"Also, wir haben ein G'schäft g'funden, und - äh, ja, meine Füße hamm echt wehgetan vorhin, aber ich hab jetzt 'n kaltes Bier, also, ich bin glücklich. Prost!"
- "Well, we've found a shop now, and - eh, yeah, my feet really hurt a while ago, but now I have a cold beer, so I'm happy. Cheers!"
