You guys seem really close now with the whole spectrograph thing.

The documents behind this thing must be full of juicy info if its this hard to do.

And if they aren't, I will personally WALK all the way from central new jersey to the company that made this game's headquarters, and behead the CEO. Twisted Evil

Well here are some full spectrograms. WARNING: Filesizes are definitely NOT dial-up friendly.

Full spectrogram: (29.8 MB) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F3D37D7K
Cropped spectrogram: (7.3 MB) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9VL2QY8I
Cropped spectrogram with saturation changed, making the blips stand out a bit better: (7.3 MB) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HJ9M19RJ

O well off to the homestead. I will check in a little later to see how things are going. There was a lot interesting info about Russian Ciphers and Enigma machines that I was reading out on the ole net.

Nothing useful so far but I would think that if this was a code, it would be using some sort of Russian WW2 era or Cold War era code. Like a Fialka punchcode machine or the like.

I'll let you know if I see any legible Russian words.

EDIT: bah, the full size imagine is impossible, as It can't be turned, and I can't read it amongst the static.

Well... this is really tough. The problem is that we do not know what we are looking for.

Are we expecting to find a code like cp55792a or a string of numbers like the map puzzle? If the author of the audio file is SRPAHQ (which it is), then I would expect the puzzle to decode into a simple phrase the points us to the familiar looking 'get' document numbers.

We can analze the spectrograph 100 different times and try to make out letters, (because the file won't be a word; it'll just be random charcters), or we can try to establish a pattern with the beeps. If we try making a pattern, the solution would probably be in a string of numbers like the map puzzle, that or translated numbers to their corresponding letter.

Even if we do get the pattern, is the solution the pattern itself or the next iteration?

Well... I guess I'm just throwing ideas out there now. I'll get back to trying to figure this out.

I managed to remove the lower spectrograph line with noise reduction.

The one section looks interesting, although I am still experimenting.

What are we supposed to be looking at here?

Here is a better view. I removed two different noises- the dots clearly visible at the beginning and then the next rhythmic noise. That eliminated everything but this:

I think it may be a key to the rest of the audio file. since most of the audio file is dashes, only without the dots. This part sticks out since it is at a lower frequency than the rest.

It would be better space wise, if you attached the pictures, isntead of put them straight in, via img html.

Why only that section of the audio file?

I hear it, I see it, but I have no freaking idea what to do with it. I went back and reread the new papers, and tried some additional filenames and stuff... I'm stumped on this one. I just don't know what to make of it.

Having trouble with that... Do the images have to be .gif?

I believe they have a page for that.

Found it. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/faq.php?mode=attach&f=239
