So Hoodlum hasn't responded to me in a week, and the game continues not to function at all. I'm pretty much ready to ditch this game entirely. I've spent so much time complaining about it not working when I could have been doing something else.
Heck, ABC's forums linked on the site require registration to read. Screw that. Thanks, ABC!

One of the other threads here at UF mentions a new(-ish) FAQ, so I figured I'd cross-post it here because it's very relevant:
http://www.dharmawantsyou.com/site/faq.php
The irony is that the link to get to the FAQ is in the footer links as part of the Flash file... so if you're having trouble viewing Flash, you won't be able to see the FAQ link!
If you've been emailing Hoodlum or Hans, then check the FAQ. It looks like they now have a more official email address to send trouble reports to (as well as things to try before emailing.)

For those who are having problems getting past the "dharma blue screen of death".
Quote:
Technical FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
"What do I need to run this site?"
You will need the following software installed on your computer to access DharmaWantsYou.com.
Windows or Mac OSX
Internet Explorer 6 or 7
Firefox 2 or 3
the latest version of Adobe Flash 9
"Sometimes the site says it is updating. Why is this?"
From time to time DharmaWantsYou.com needs to update. When this is happening we need to take the site down. Please be patient and check back later.
"When I go to dharmawantsyou.com I just get a blue screen and nothing happens. What can I do?"
If nothing happens within one (1) minute refresh the site. Click on the refresh button next to the address bar or hit the F5 button. If this doesn't work please check back later - sometimes there are a lot of people trying to access the site at the same time. Please do not continually refresh your browser as this places unnecessary load on the system.
"I have tried all of the above, is there anything else I can do?"
Please send an email to helpSPLAT dharmawantsyou.com detailing what is happening and include the following information:
Operating System
Browser
Flash Version
Screen shot if appropriate
Any other technical information you can find
We will use your information to investigate the problem and will endeavor to address the problem as soon as we can. Please be patient and know that we will do everything we can to make this a satisfying experience for everyone.
PLEASE NOTE — this email address is for technical support only.
Please do not send LOST related questions (we do not know where the island is...).
"I have done a test and my score is not kept. Why?"
Check that you are logged in. The site will not keep your score if you are not registered and logged in.
"I didn't receive an email from Hans but my friend did. Why?"
Some email accounts may block the emails from the Dharma Initiative or send them to your 'Junk' folder. Check your 'Junk' folder. If the email is not there please send your details to helpSPLAT dharmawantsyou.com with the subject line 'No Hans email' and we will check that you are on the email list.

Thanks, I'll e-mail them about it tonight.
Ignoring that it's not working at the moment on the computer that worked last week (why would they make a site that only works some of the time ?), they'll probably tell me that using Linux and Flash 10 Beta is why it's not working - even though I downgraded to Flash 9. I'll wait and see, though.
Out of curiosity - does any Flash-savvy folks know why an operating system would have any bearing on Flash?

AWESOME! They finally listened to the fans. I wished that they didn't go so out of game, though....

I love the fact that they put in an answer to the dharma death screen........in a place where it's impossible to get it if you suffer from the death screen.

I love that they're getting us to troubleshoot our own problems with the site instead of fixing it themselves.

They are also giving us the ability to report any problems so it can be fixed.

Yeah thanks, Dposse, I'm totally all riled up for war and you're all "no man be peaceful PEEEACE" and start playing Enya on the CD player.
Sheesh. It's the only thing that keeps me going a boring, boring job. you're right though, at least it gives them legitimate feedback. With such a stretch of time between easy puzzles, they need to get on it, though.
Anyway, so has anyone heard from DWY about the Gradient of Destruction? I haven't yet.

Unable to invite new people So when I click "Challenge a Friend", put in the info, and click Submit, I get a message saying: "Cannot Send Challenge - Unfortunately we are unable to process your request. Your friend has indicated that they no longer wish to receive Challenge a Friend emails from DharmaWantsYou.com"
The only problem with this is: the person and email address I've entered are real (my daughter) and she has never received any email from Dharma or anyone related to the game.
At first I thought this happened because I used the Cheat... so I attempted to solve the puzzle without the Cheat and still no joy.
Anyone else having a problem?

I'll bet the "help" mailbox is full and that is why you got that delivery pending message.
