I got to test a few times before the email went out. 5 minutes later everything froze.

Probably a good thing most of the US is still asleep then, give them a bit of time to sort it out before everyone goes ape shit.

Just a heads up on 'Test 1', the timer does not begin until you click on the first piece you wish to move. So you can take some time to study the pieces before placing them and there is something about the nature of the pieces in the following
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
there seems to be pieces remaining after each test (2 pieces, if memory serves me correctly). Not sure if spoiler, just being safe
Also, you can re-take the test (seemingly) as many times as you like. Whether or not this will affect your progress results or rank on the leader board is unknown.

That's a handy tip! Will remember that for when the dang thing starts working again...
EDIT: the site's running again now, anyone else having trouble with their profile? Takes the login screen a good few seconds to load up, and then my profile is blank??

Yes. The site is slow and hit-or-miss for me at the moment. I think I'm finally going to get some sleep and hope for a smoother site later. Good luck and have fun all. (someone get working on that source code message )

Don't think anyones mentioned this yet, but theres an explanation of the Leaderboard on the DWY site now.
To get 'Dharma' points you must recruit friends and take part in extra tests set by Hans.

so now I'm not going to get points for all the people that I already sent to the site. That sucks ! Oh well, I will have to send some people there, I wonder how they show who sent them there ?

If I remember right (I'm not touching the test again till my profile is not blank), there's an option to invite a friend on the test page.

I've been wondering that as well, unless when they join it asks them to put in your Dharma ID number.
And if everyone here gets even more people to sign up, how will their servers cope
