 		UPDATE: NRU - Missing student arrested during press conf
I was poking around for new stuff and found this press release at NRU ( http://www.nru.us/Press_Releases/20031009.htm ).
Don't know if it was meant to be found yet since there's no link on the front page as of the time of this post, but here it is. (yeah it's supposed to be Thurs Oct 9, but I'm only cutting and pasting)

Missing student arrested during press conference
Monday Oct 09, 2003, 7:33 a.m. MST
New River University (NRU Press)
Jacob Starkey was arrested last night during his press conference. The warrant for his arrest has been sealed but one source close to the case said, "They were just waiting for his return from wherever he disappeared to. NRU had noticed the theft of equipment, software, and the removal of documents that are of significant importance to national security. It wasn't until his disappearance did anyone notice."

Craig Becker, head of NRU had no comment this morning. Starkey, will be arraigned this morning in Pinal County Federal court. His lawyer could not be reached for comment. NRU Press will cover developments as they happen.

Maybe they just didn't get to setting the link up yet, but yes, Jake was hauled off by Federal Marshalls et al. last night in chat.

NOTE: Caretaker was in the chat room, but did not ask question nor did he speak to any of us after we were allowed to speak again. In fact he left just after we were told that Meg had left with Prof. Z.

 		I guess this puts to rest the spec, in chat last night, that those weren't really federal marshalls...

We need to keep in mind that the Research at NRU was on behalf of DARPA and the NSA (National Security Administration). It is entirely possible that false charges have been created with enough fake evidence to hold Jake for as long as they want. We just need to find the the person moving behind the documents, could be someone in DARPA, could be ECHELON, NSA, or any other security minded agency.

Lets hope that Prof Z can convince the powers that be that Jake is a vital person in his research team and that holding Jake will delay development of they military projects.
