this might be a dumb question, but is there some way that we can see how much traffic the site is getting? I couldn't even login to my account.

Yeah, which makes it 10:21 here in CT. And means I got to get some shut eye. Bummer. I was looking forward to this all day.

...Are you talking about Connecticut? Because it's 11:27pm on the east coast.

Thank you Gregoryn95, Yes, CT to me is Central time. I guess CST would be proper? Whatever, the point is, bummer.

And yes, I also think it will be 12:00, missing 8-19 altogether.

Regarding the movement of the board, (yes, I know, a few pages back). When it happened, I had no idea. I was very impressed that my bookmark automatically got me to the correct spot so when y'all were talking about it, I was completely confused.

All I know is I may fail this test if it's all about patience. Cuz I'm losing mine quite a bit. Been checking on and off sense 8am EST (EDT?).

I think I may have opened up a nice big ol' can of worms with my time zone explanation, what with all the acronyms flying around... Laughing

Re: twitter

BrianEnigma wrote:

Usually, people share Twitter updates by using hash tags. Just subscribe to the user @hashtags and make a regular tweet using a pound-sign followed by a keyword (I'd suggest #DWY). Then you can subscribe to the #DWY feed on hashtags.org and you will be notified any time anyone in the world tweets with #DWY in their message.

Yeah, those always end up getting me a lot more tweets than I want, though. Like, "thinking about how cool this ARG will be #DWY" and whatnot from total strangers. That's just me, though. I think it's a great idea for anyone else who wants to do it. I was thinking about just tweeting game news and other stuff related to this forum. Probably over-thought it, which I tend to do. Which is why I limit myself on how many of these things I get involved in and how often I actually pipe up in the forums... ahem Rolling Eyes

Oh, and it's at "dwyarg" now, for the interested. There. Now that's one post more than I said I would do on the subject. Zipping up for real this time, I swear!

As it's turning out, I'm probably going to be going to bed before tweeting or playing or anything I was looking forward to doing when I got online at... oh... 8AM? So much for ambition. Yes, I agree- patience is the virtue they are looking for now. Wink

Was checking out the offical ABC Lost board to see if there was anything mentioned on them about a possible time frame for the real start of things.

Not sure if this means anything, and not positive if it would be a spoiler so I'm going to spoiler tag it just in case. (If it wouldn't be a considered a spoiler, please forgive, my bad)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There is another email that has been found with the date of tomorrow. Like the others it's password protected.

theory of d'oh

I just had a sad, sad thought. They never said "testing" starts today. Nor did they say the "competition" or "game" or whatever parlance one might use for "stuff we get to do starts today." We kind of made that assumption. They said "assessment." We already took the first test, right? Well to assess just means "estimate or judge the value, character, etc., of; evaluate." (thank you dictionary.com).

With above quasi-spoiler, I have a feeling they have "assessed" us all day today and are going to hear about how we did and see the leader boards and progress tomorrow. My theory is that today was just the start of the assessment of what we've done thus far.

Okay, I'm going to bed. I hope the Dharma logo does not haunt my dreams. Smile
