True that, but when did we establish that Hoodlum ran DWY? I agree that if they do, that is Shaggy et. al. best bet. Wink

I seem to recall hearing this in a recording of the LOST Comicon panel. I don't remember if they actually said "Hoodlum" or if they just said "the same guys who did Find 815" (which would be Hoodlum--they even promote this fact on their website.) Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a transcript of the 2008 panel via Google (only the 2007 one) and I'm not sure I want to go back and listen to the whole thing again. Smile

Ah well, then I would say that it is worth a shot. Even if it doesn't solve this, at least we will know we aren't neglecting anything. Shaggy, send 'em an email and see what happens! Wink

New Dharma email sent today... I'm too tired to notice if anyone saw it, but the basics are that the site is 'back up to commence volunteer testing'.

Oh and the volunteer assessment commences on August 19th.

Trout, even though you admit lack of knowledge.

Well my bad then lol.

But in my defence the email says it only reached my inbox 20 minutes prior to me posting the 'news' and the last post here was 4hrs prior... So oops!

Interesting, considering the email was sent out the 15th.

I sent this to Hoodlum:

Quote:
Hi guys,

I'm trying to log in to DharmaWantsYou.com, but it's not letting me. I've tried on my home computer, using Firefox 3 on Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit with the beta version of Flash 10, but it hasn't worked for a couple of weeks now, even when I was using the stable Flash 9 version in the repositories.

This is also the problem on a computer at work running WinXP, IE6, and Flash 7. There seems to be no reason for it not to work there, as it loads fine on another computer in the same office running the same software.

I am a member of the Unfiction forums, and a couple other people seem to be having the same or similar trouble.

What happens is the background gradient loads, and the status bar reads "Transferring from dharmawantsyou.com," or "Read www.dharmawantsyou.com," or "Waiting for www.dharmawantsyou.com" and then stops. I've let it sit for hours with no change. I assume it is a glitch in the nested swfs you guys are using (or so I've gleaned from the Unfictioners), but I could be completely wrong as I am not a programmer.

Are you aware of this problem, and are you looking to fix it? I've played every Lost Experience since the first one, and hope I won't be left out this time due to a faulty website.

Thanks,

Steve

My AOL account just got the e-mail that my g-mail account received on the 15th. Some lag in delivery time.

We've been discussing the problem over here also:

Dude, get off it, I didn't get mine until Sunday the 17th. I think that when a single thread is at the 75 pre-game page point, you can lighten up on the whole "trout police" bit. Additionally, when the PMs can't get an email to him/her/me until 2 days after you've gotten it (which has been documented in this thread), I'd think it'd be hardly worth commenting about someone's late posting once, let alone twice.

Now now, simmer down, the game's about to start. Let's all just get along. : Smile
