[PREGAME] Volunteer testing Launch Date

In an attempt to split up an 89 page thread properly, I moved these posts to a new topic. The original thread can be found here - jamesi

Just had a new email through:

Quote:
ATTENTION ALL RECRUITS
RE: CONFIRMATION OF LAUNCH DATE FOR VOLUNTEER TESTING

I am pleased to announce that, following an extensive security audit of all departments within the Dharma Initiative, I am totally satisfied that DharmaWantsYou.com is now secure. As a result I am able to confirm a date for the commencement of our latest volunteer testing program.

Visit www.dharmawantsyou.com to confirm the launch date.

I have heard from many of you in recent weeks via email asking what will be assessed in the program and what the nature of our latest research is. I have found your enthusiasm and relentless curiosity extremely endearing. However, in the interests of maintaining the integrity of the testing process, I cannot be forthcoming on these enquiries.

Despite this, I would like to affirm to you all that I am extremely optimistic about these upcoming evaluations and believe that they will yield recruits of the highest caliber.

Good luck to all applicants.

Together we can guide the world to a better tomorrow.

Namaste,

Hans Van Eeghen
Head of Recruiting
The Dharma Initiative

EDIT: And yet the site doesn't have anything on it, let alone a launch date?

EDIT2: For completions sake, this is email 0815.

[edit - added the quote tag to clarify which is the Dharma email and which are your own comments - kona]

When I login, I'm seeing "Volunteer Assessment Commences 08-19-08".

Me again. I seems like the site only works on one of the three computers I use a my job, but unfortunately it isn't one I will be using any time soon.

For anyone who has the site, is there an In-Game "contact" address I could email? can't even see that.

Thanks.

Ditto. I've been hung up on "Waiting for dharmawantsyou.com"

Think maybe they are looking for patience as the number one virtue of a Dharma recruit... Confused

The site's not working for me, now, either (OS X, MacBook Pro) whereas it worked just fine last week. The Flash file starts to load and paints the gradient background (as opposed to the solid blue that's defined in the HTML of the page), but then just seems to freeze. I don't know about your situation, but in mine, it looks like something is messed up on the server (it's getting a 400 and a 404 error when trying to load some of the resources.) I even disabled my ad blocker and referrer blocker, to no avail.

Thank goodness since I'm camping this weekend. I'll be back in time.

Hi all. Kinda new jumping into this particular ARG. Registered for the Dharma site a bit ago and got the first email about the security issue. However I did not recieve the one about the start date.

Also like others, the site was working for me up until today. I'm only getting the blue and white screen as well.

They've been sending out the emails in batches so people are receiving them at different times. I expect yours will arrive soon, but it's a good idea to check your spam folder periodically for it.

Mine has always come in my regular folder but this time it was in the spam so check there.

Just got it.

But the page is still blue and white for me. Maybe they have too much traffic.
