This is the message that I left on Anna's voicemail shortly after our call ended. Hopefully we will get some answers soon.

Here is a transcript of that message:

translation overevaluation? All I asked my son to do was give a listen if he had a minute to play. As busy as he is, he must be having some fun doing this. (shrug) anyway ... he says:

Okay, so I've listened to this clip 100 times, I still can't get parts even after listening to all 3 versions I downloaded. First part is definitely:

No va a trabajar, no se preocupes. (short pause) El sistema…
Which means:
He/she/it is not going to work. Don't worry. The system …

The subject is never stated, and usually in Spanish we assume it, clip obviously comes in midway through some sort of larger statement, after he she or it is defined. Then I miss one word, hard to tell if it is important, but there is too much static. Then I can make out:

… que empezamos …
Which means:
… That we started …

Then, the static picks up pretty heavy, and I got nothing for like a third of the clip. Native speaker may be able to pick it up. I'll ask someone at the office tomorrow. A shame this may actually make them think I am insane. The voices come back clear again at about 13 seconds in the normal speed recordings. Then I hear:

No puede expresar una (partial word, gets cut off, sounds maybe like machine)
Which means:
He/she/it cannot express (a machine)

Machine is a fun word in Spanish, since anything that doesn't have a name, or if the name is not well known and it is a physical object, it can be called machine. I used machine for months to ask for a corkscrew. So, sadly, machine is very broad if that is what they say. It probably does not refer to a computer.

Then the recording is obviously not meant to be heard for a moment, sounds like there are voices overlapping, but the voices sound identical maybe not overlapping, but just sped up. The slowed down version is too choppy to figure out Comes back at the end clearly for:

para sus guerras
for their wars

sus could be translated in another way (formal your like "for your wars" but the voice already used the informal way of saying don't worry to who ever said person is talking to, implies to me the possessors of said war are not the same people as whom designed the system).

Again, this sticks out to me: the speaker is not a native Spanish speaker. The person seems stiff in the language, like a foreigner who has used it for a while, but still isn't perfect. Could be an effect of whatever they did to the recording to make it hurt my ears, but even then, it is missing transitions, its really weird to say "someone or something isn't going to work don't worry". Seems like there should be a "but" in their like, something isn't working, but don't worry. My guess is this is a computer program reading it.

I looked at the translation someone gave, seems a little off to me. First, artificial intelligence is not abbreviated in Spanish to AI. AI means amnesty international, which seems unlikely to play a role in this. IA (which would be more accurate in Spanish) doesn't really mean anything as far as I can tell, and additionally I can't make out IA or AI at any point.

The whole middle part bugs me, because it is pretty static-y, but no more so than some of the other parts I can understand. Either using words I don't recognize or it is just jibberish. If someone writes a transcript I'll translate it, but honestly, I don't think the whole thing is supposed to be understood.

WOW Wander!!! Great Job!!! It is possible that we aren't supposed to hear the entire message but only bit and pieces. The information you provided is a huge help. In context of all the other things we know this could prove to be valuable later on down the line once we find out more about this AAI. Huge Thanks Goes Out To You And You Son!!

just a quick heads up, I got an email response from Anna, I think from my phone call to her, seeing as I gave an international number, maybe, maybe not.

Alright guys... this is what we've been waiting for...

We now have a direct link to contact Anna. She's had some losses over the past year and has been heavily betrayed by people she thought she could trust and now she's spooked. We're in a bit of a predicament in that the only thing we can offer her is information. The problem is that the information we have to give her is that which could have already been obtained by AU so sending a file over is useless. We need to comb through the Gracey emails at this point and try to find information that only Gracey would know. We can pretty much establish at this point that we've been talking to the AAI since day one. I'll give a brief summery about this after I'm done writing here. We have to be very cautious about what we say to her. We already know from the phone calls that she's not one to take things for face value and has no problems cutting off contact. We don't need to bombard her with questions but we don't need to be ass kissers either.

Here are some recommendations I can think of off the top of my head:

1. Tell her the truth. Tell her that we are from the past and we were originally involved passively but after finding out about Gracey's passing we want to help and get the SoBs that did this.

2. Get a date from her. It might cause her to raise an eyebrow by someone asking her the date but I think if we can establish a solid date from her then it will be alot easier to put pieces of the puzzle together.

3. Do NOT start asking for passwords. Those will come in time.




Here's a brief summery of the events that I've been able to piece together about the unfolding events.

While we don't know the exact date of death for David we know that the Autopsy was on November 19, 2023.

Immediately after that Anna start investigating the death of David only to be met by resistance and threats from AU. We know that I9 was helping her in the beginning and warned her about persisting in the investigation.

About a month or so later between mid December 2023 and early January 2024 was when the "rebel conflict" broke out in SA-2. I personally believe that this was a cover for sending Anna a message. This was when her hard drive was stolen and Gracey, I assume, was killed in the crossfire.

Fast forward 9 months later (late August 2024) and we start receiving emails from Gracey. Only it's not. It's the AAI (Gracie). This AI is modeling itself after Gracey and trying to establish contact with us. It provides us with details about her that seem to be turning out true (Anna using the kiwi reference as a pass code would lend me to believe it was accurate). Then without warning we find ourselves interfacing with the GDOS system. I think that the AI either malfunctioned and we were kicked back to the base operating system (GDOS) or someone found out that "Gracey" was making outside contact and pulled the plug.

Which brings us up to today…

The best thing that I can think of right now is to ask Anna for a task of sorts. There is bound to be some sort of information that she needs and can tell us where to find it (website i hope). This will add a layer between her anonymity and AU. Let us do the foot work. If we accomplish this it will lend credibility to us and hopefully instill some trust in her that we are not on AU's side.

I will be in the IRC room if anyone wants to throw out additional theories or rebuttals. Remember... They're watching...

P.S. I'm going to try to get some of the wiki updated this weekend... There's ALOT that needs to be done if anyone wants to lend a couple hours

I think from that reply that we can determine that we were in fact talking to GRACIE since the beginning. Useful stuff... *sits tight*

I also like the fact the she personifies GRACIE. God help us on the day when we assign our computer programs some sort of gender.
