ACME states that all IG characters will have some association with eyegasm-design.com and will be added to their site when they are revealed as a character. This is to reduce the risk of ARGjacking.

Mikey's site used to be hosted on eyegasm-design but there were problems and it had to be moved to Blogger. I think that information is either in Mikey's blog or maybe in one of the emails he sent out.

EDIT: Also, eyegasm-design is an AAP meta (e.g. OOG) web-hosting company. See http://eyegasm-design.com/copy.html for info.

Yeah i got that but they way they set the site up and the way mike's site showed up well into the game.
I e-mailed mike about its and i got this back::
Quote:
Novak owns eyegasm-design. I think all of this that you brought up is a coincidence, but I don't know for sure. I do know they did a great job designing the website for me and I know they've done other businesses too. I'll try to contact Novak to see if there's anything he can tell us about those girl's sites that I don't already know about them. I know he tries to keep his clients confidential, but maybe for me if I explain what's happening. He's a great guy, just really hard to catch up with.

I also do some of my best thinking just as i wake up. this morning i was pondering this story line. and this rolled up on me NOVAhelix NOVAk he was against the ritual at the beginning wasn't he? I dunno it just smacked me pretty hard in my thoughts.

Sweet picture. Mikey's gonna need a good story for that one though, as it looks about a hundred years old.

Regarding the distance learning thing. If you needed to vLog in order to do that, they would have to have a private school server of some sort for it, which could be cool, but I doubt it. The distance learning classes I've done had cameras in the classroom where the instructor was teaching, and sometimes you had a camera and/or so they could monitor you, but sometimes it's a recording of a lecture. Although, a school server with classroom videos on it could be very interesting. I've been thinking about this school of theirs, and they've got to be starting the fall session soon. Schools in the south have been in session for a month, and I think New England schools started last week or yesterday, can't remember what my teacher friend said. Soooo, the school ought to have a website, and Diego & Co. ought to be able to be putting stuff on YouTube if they're heading back into school. I'm expecting some new stuff on that front soon. Any thoughts?

EDIT: just reread Rev's post. I missed the e-mail response from Mikey. I guess we could call eyegasm in game then, though not really relevant to the overall game, at this time...

Totally off topic, the TIM should never return phone calls immediately upon waking, it's scary. I just wanted you to spin the winwheel for me... [/i]

A few things I noticed/was reminded of whilst poking around eyegasm-design just now:
1. They're hiring! Graphics Designer or Flash Developer. Anybody good at that stuff?
2. Free webhosting closed to new user registration Sad BUT...
3. They have other services we might be able to use (I emailed asking if #2 is still true, & also about getting them to design me a blog template)
4. On the kids' secreto/indexa page, the error message says the problem is on "line 37" - coincidence?
5. The sigil on the back of the dad's letter, that he said his friends would show Sofia - Amun hasn't shown that to us, but why should he? He doesn't know we know about it, right? What would happen if we ask him?

I told the TIM to apply for a job, and I e-mailed yesterday asking for some information regarding services, said I needed something super secret and whatnot, playing off the way they bill themselves. Apprently they e-mailed back after I logged off last night with the following.
Quote:
To whom it may concern,

Thank you for inquiring on our services. Currently we are unavailable to work on the development of new websites. If you are inquiring on our freewebs service, registration for this service has been suspended due to numerous errors we are trying to iron out. Visit http://freewebs.eyegasm-design.com and when the service becomes available you will be able to register for your own freewebs account.

Well, that's not very encouraging. Sad Maybe TIM can get somewhere with his job app. The response I got was similar:

Quote:
To whom it may concern,

Our freewebs service registration has been put on hold for the time being. We have discovered several bugs we are trying to work out of the system. When these bugs have been worked out we'll be able to help you with all of your hosting needs.

"I would like to inquire about having a blog template designed"

Though we offer many services, we try to avoid designing blog templates unless they are tied in with an actual website as well. Currently our work load has us booked through the holidays, but at the start of the year next year we should be able to work with you and deliver our awesomeness straight to your website.

-The Eyegasm Robot

Start of the year, eh? Anybody remember how long this puppy is sposed to run?

They also keep mentioning the bugs - I suppose one of us could offer some coding help. Or maybe there's a clue in the bugs that we're missing.

Yeah, unfortunately I'm no graphical designer, and know very little about flash (I guess I could go back and figure it out, I think I still have a dev kit around here somewhere). Screw it, sent this:
Quote:

Dear Sir:

It has come to my attention that you are seeking a Flash developer for your website. I am very interested, and would like to know more details about this position. You mention that you hire on a contractual basis; is this a temporary position only?
Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Nathan

(dictated, not read)

My best letter? No.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
But it's only Jas0n. Razz

Don't know. I never stegged the picture I put up, thought petunia should have the honor, seeing as how she encoded the message. If no one else does, I can do it either before I go to work tonight or right when I get home in the morning.

Just got this back from Novak:
Quote:
Hey dude thanks for inquiring about coming to work for me. Send me your totally awesomelicious resume and we'll see what we can do. If it's not totally aweomelicious no need to apply!

-N

I'm not sure my resume is totally awesomelicious. I'll have to spice it up. Very Happy

Oops - I don't have Camouflage on this computer and can't install it at work. The earliest I'd be able to do it would be tomorrow night, so don't wait on me.

So has the creation of the Google Group pretty much killed this off as our OOG resource?

Nah, just not too much going on at the moment. Mikey has a stegged message for Amun, but needs to post it. We have some documents, but nothing overtly helpful. The kids should be back in school by now, but if they are they haven't vlogged anything.
So yeah, pretty much at a standstill for now. I'm sure things will pick back up shortly.

In related news, did everyone figure out the password to the image? I assumed it was obvious... that couldn't be a hangup, could it?

In unrelated news, Chrome apparently spell checks any sort of text-input boxes (other than user/pass) and gives you red squiggly underlines a la MSWORD. Turns out, while helpful in a lot of situations, typing a post like this is annoying as hell.

Hmm, I thought the password was obvious but when I tried it it's not working for me. Of course, I may just be technically challenged today. I'm sure Mikey would say something if he ran into a problem. He's probably just busy. We'll hear something soon I'm sure.

I hate the squiggly lines, too. Who are you to tell me that's not a word you pompous browser!! I've never heard of Chrome before, I'll have to look that up. I use Opera most of the time.

Latest Mikey e-mail

So, umm, Mikey's latest post the google group says he sent Diego a message, and they had a short conversation. Last I remember, he had decided to contact Diego through YouTube messaging, after I provided him with the link. So, unless I missed something that's how they've communicated, however Diego hasn't logged in to YouTube in 3 weeks as of a minute ago when I went to see if he maybe had a new video up or something, since Mikey said he'd talked to him... So, yeah, umm, how have they been talking? I don't want to just basically call the guy a liar and point this out to him. I was contemplating a subtle nod to it in a response to his questions about telling Diego he thinks Sarah was taken by NovaHelix. BTW, how did he come up with that conclusion? He now thinks all of the kids were taken by NovaHelix?
TIM, I shall ping you a second time if you don't tell me how that souped up resume for Novak is coming...
Just thinking out my fingers again...
