[EMAIL] Test 2 Email I didn't see this posted elsewhere and thought I'd post it here for everyone's sake. It's a little useless as we already know about the test, but it's worth noting that they say only the first test result will be recorded.

RE: BROAD SPECTRUM KNOWLEDGE ANALYSIS IS NOW LIVE
Namaste.
I am pleased to announce the release of the second assessment in the Dharma Initiative's Volunteer Recruitment Program.
This new test is a broad-spectrum knowledge analysis.
It is a multiple-choice test covering a range of topics.
YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT AT THIS TEST WILL BE THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL BE RECORDED AGAINST YOUR OVERALL TEST RESULTS.
THE TEST WILL BE TIMED - DURATION WILL BE FACTORED INTO THE FINAL RESULT.
Be prepared before embarking on this assessment - there will be NO SECOND CHANCES.
I would also like to encourage recruits to take the opportunity to earn extra "Dharma" points. These points WILL contribute to your overall test results and the eventual position you will be assigned within the Dharma Initiative.
I trust you will find these new tasks sufficiently challenging and will embrace the opportunity to grow the Dharma Initiative.
I look forward to reviewing your results.

Did you receive this as an email, because I just realized that I didn't get one this time around. Nothing in my spam folder either. Also, it's titled "0828.php" which seems like it should actually mail out tomorrow.

Yah, I noticed that in the code.
Using "BS" reminds me of RuckusGuy's first message: "The whole thing sounds like elitist B.S., doesn't it?"
Otherwise, the whole message-in-the-code thing is odd- the messages are by far the most interesting part of this game so far, but other than the early ones, we really haven't been able to do anything with them. Since ComiCon, we got "Banks Claw" ("Black Swan"?), "Good luck my old friend Hans," and "Batteries Ice Pint" ("patience is bitter"?).

I didn't get this email either. It couldn't have anything to do with the cheater/not a cheater stuff could it? I think I might be paranoid...

I got the email on both my cheating account and my non-cheating account.

Hmmmm... So I just got it at about 11:29 PM tonight (8/27).
So does this mean we all did test 2 a day early?

@ Sinyx: That sounds about right...
@waitress #2: Thanks for the info, W2. That answers my question.

I don't think we did the test early; I suspect the email went out late and that our person on the inside held it up. Also, they do send the emails out in batches so I expect everyone will get one in the next couple of hours.

I don't think we did either, I was just joking.
If that statement wasn't directed at me, then, um...yeah!
EDIT: Got Ye Olde Email, finally. Better late than...oh, you know the rest!

Yeah but whats the point of these messages or Ruckus guy?? Unless there is sometihng else to do,
before we had
Quote:
"Batteries Ice Pint" ("patience is bitter"?).
But I don't seem to understand why they would put such a OOG thing in the source?

It's not necessarily OOG. In the universe, they took a long time to launch the damn test, so maybe he suggested there was an evil reason for it.

one thought on the coded stuff Ok, so assuming this is RuckusGuy leaving the messages for us....
this doesn't explain what we were supposed to do with "Banks claw/Black Swan", but "Batteries Ice Pint" does contain "space" and "i" in it, so I suppose it could be a list of cheats RuckusGuy put into the code for us.
It would make sense, that RuckusGuy would want to screw up the testing by inserting cheats along the way.
If you take out "Space" and "I", you're left with the letters in "bet nitrite," which I type that way because it's easier than remembering nonsense.

batteries ice pint = I better space it in (or....I space it in better, etc)
However, I think it's really "patience is bitter".....it goes better with "The Dharma Initiative - Guiding the World to a Bitter Tomorrow - BS" becuase now there is a "bitter" theme.

My guess...
BS stands for B road S pectrum, and the better vs. bitter points out the fact that the cheat is the i key.
No thoughts on the "batteries ice pint" although all three words have the letter i.
