We just got confirmation via 13lights.org that *something* will happen at 12:30 pm PDT on Friday Sept 5th. I think our drop date/time has just been confirmed.

Good to have that confirmation. Though it's odd that the link to the map still says 'just keep looking', with nothing marking Seattle yet. That really couldn't be much more clear.

They may want us to narrow down the location near the museum more closely?

Yeah, I think maybe they do, too. Three more images have been posted to skyincorporated.org:

http://console.skyincorporated.org/files/10.jpg, which is likely a view from the monorail platform behind the EMPSFM.

http://console.skyincorporated.org/files/Ten.jpg, which could be a view of the Wild River ride from inside the monorail or the monorail station, but I've never been there so it's just a guess.

http://console.skyincorporated.org/files/X.jpg is another picture of the Wild River ride, but now there's less light and there's someone hanging out on a concrete set of steps near the ride.

Edit: Not sure of what to make of all those tens...

New point added to /map.html. It looks like it points directly to the museum. Not the Wild Ride and not the Airtram.

Point info says "Sixth contact: Soon"

After looking at the series of "10" pictures again this morning, I think that they are meant to call our attention to the person who appears in all three, rather than any specific location around the EMPSFM. So I guess we'll be meeting with Ten, much as we met with Twelve in Florida.

That makes sense. All of the pictures are distorted in some way, though. Either too dark, stretched or veiled by condensation. It looks a bit like Caitlin but I can't be sure.

I meant to mention this the other day, and I think these new pictures confirm it... we'll want to go to that set of of "steps" seen in several of the shots. I used to sit there a lot; they're right between the back of the museum and the water ride, with the monorail off to the side.

I agree we'll be meeting Ten. In the Chinook conversation, Ten was the other number/person mentioned. Glancing over the text again, with this in mind, it could very well be saying that we're supposed to meet this person to receive a gift/package.

So I suppose the pictures are telling us both where to meet, and who.

And regarding who... for no reason in particular, when I realized Seattle was the location, I thought we might be meeting Caitlin. Or more accurately, a real world version of her. Like the 'John' we met in Albany. Not that a hunch matters for much, but these pictures add to my suspicion.

Oh and vapor... image 10.jpg only looks stretched in the console's view window. The properly proportioned one, though still fuzzy, does look a lot like Caitlin.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. Unless further revelations change my mind, I'm planning on starting at the steps. If necessary, I'll move on to other locations shown in the photos, and then on to the locations the photos may have been taken from.

I'll be taking off in the middle of my work day to do this, so I probably won't be able to give you guys a full account and photos/scans until I get home in the evening, around 5 or 6 p.m., Pacific. I will, however, post a synopsis of the event within, say, an hour of its conclusion.

If you are looking for Caitlin, FYI, she is the woman who appears on the video on 13lights.org

Success! Ten was waiting for me in the expected location (the steps behind EMPSFM), right on time. We received a business card and two color photos, all with post-it notes attached to them. I had a friend with me to snap some photos, and had a voice recorder hidden in my pocket. I'll transcribe or post the voice file later this evening, as well as deliver some legit scans, which we are definitely going to need.

Ten indicated that we needed to figure out what dog's tag says. So far all I've been able to make out is the first word, which is*maybe* "Corbin"...

Thanks noisy! Very cool that you got those surveillance photos, and even a voice recording. That definitely is our 'Caitlin'... or at least, Ten appearing like Caitlin, in this world.

Looks like we've got a new e-mail address (I think R.PortneySPLATskyincorporated.org... not sure about the period), and possibly a username or password for Robert. Maybe the information on the dog's tag is the other half of the equation?

As soon as I come up with a seemingly legitimate reason to contact him, I'll e-mail Mr. Portney and see what comes up.

EDIT: Both R.Portney and RPortney at skyincorporated.org are invalid. So are a few other variations I tried. I'd guess the fact that the info on the card is scratched out means Mr. Portney is no longer employed there, and no longer has his corporate e-mail address.

Oh yeah, oops... I forgot to mention that, yes, it was our world's version of Caitlin. Of note, when I asked her if she went by a name other than "10", she answered either "Z" or "C". When I was there, it sounded like she said "Z", but on listening back to the voice file, it sounds more like "C".

Here are links to the voice file and text transcription. Headphones recommended for the voice file. It's pretty damn, um, noisy:

Hello! I've been lurking this game (and a few other ARGs) for a while, but I've never posted before. Just coming out of the woodwork now.

I have a few things to add, I think. The post-it over the man's face ("The problems of the world...") is a quote from John F. Kennedy, and specifically from a speech he gave before the Irish Parliament on 6/28/1963.

The post-it over the dog's face is a quote from Harold R. McAlindon, some management-type dude who wrote The Little Book of Big Ideas. I'm not sure whether the quote comes from the book. Honestly, though, I'm not sure if it matters-- perhaps the only important thing here is the common theme of the two quotes (innovation, creativity... dreaming?)

Is the man in the picture Richard Portney, by the way? That's what I'm assuming.

I guess I'll put the rest under a spoiler tag, as I'm not sure of the etiquette here.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you go to skyincorporated.org now, you'll find that below the Username and Password fields is a new link: "Forgot Your Password?" That takes you to an authentication page:

Authentication
What is your pet's name?
Answer:
ID:
Email:

I'm guessing that, as per the business card, the email is either R.PortneySPLATskyincorporated.org or RPortneySPLATskyincorporated.org, and the ID is the number written on the back of the business card (either 2150P22 or 2I50P22).

I tried the name "Corbin" with every permutation of those two attributes (and with my own email address, just in case), but no dice. So it seems like we need to figure out what exactly that dog tag says in order to proceed.

The dog tag, btw, also seems to have two phone numbers on it-- am I wrong? Those might be useful.

Thanks ArbutusWD, glad to have you aboard!

The website must have just been updated... that makes total sense now. So we just need to get the dog's name.

I noticed the phone numbers as well, but upon inspection of the close-up photo it looks like they may have been intentionally blurred. I don't think that's the case for the other image, but nonetheless I still can't make them out.

As for the dog's name... it looks to be more than one word. We may only need the first one, or we may need the whole thing. Because of the Seattle connection I also tried "Cobain", but didn't have any luck. When I get back later tonight I'll keep playing around.

Been away for a few days. Good job on picking up the drop noisy

http://lib.williamson-tn.org/Local_Authors/M.htm#_McAlindon,%20Harold gives a little more info on Harold McAlindon FWIW.

And after staring at the dog collar I think I see "ius" at the end of the name. Been looking for Greek names beginning in "C" and ending in "ius" but no joy on SCOPE login yet.
